MUSICNOTESLast week’s column ended with:Think back to when someone gave your child some helium filled balloons on his or her birthday. For the first few days following the party, the balloons remain bright and beautiful.
They fly high at the end of their strings bobbing in the in the wind.
If you let go, the balloons would take off into the air. In a couple of days, though, the balloons begin to shrivel and shrink, sinking down, lower, smaller, weaker.
Day by day, the balloons drop lower and lower. Finally, they land on the floor, totally deflated. The balloons have lost their life and attractiveness , not to mention their potential to rise higher.
singersIronically, all you’d have to do to replenish those balloons and give them a fresh new start and appeal is to fill them back full of helium. If you did so on a regular basis, those balloons would last for months, bringing happiness and joy to all who saw them.

The same principle is true regarding your lives. Throughout the day, no matter how filled we are at the start, we ” leak”, we get pressured or stressed; life happens. You get stuck in traffic, and a little helium goes out. You find out you didn’t get the contract you were hoping for, and a little more escapes your balloon. You get home at the end of a day and find out your child is not feeling well and you must deal with that. The dog got into the trash, you to clean up the mess, and your balloon loses a little more of its shape. The only way to stay full and keep your joy and peace is to keep this song of praise in your heart, and when you do this, you are continually you are continually filled up with God’s love , joy and peace. This isn’t just about music, this is an attitude. In our thoughts, we are grateful. We are excited about the future. We are expecting good things from God, so we allow a song to play, continually in our minds.

Seek My Facemore and more. You are really just beginning your journey of intimacy with Me. It is not an easy road, but it is a delightful and privileged way: a treasure hunt. I am the Treasure, and the Glory of My Presence glistens and shimmers along the way. Hardships are part of the journey too. I mete them out ever so carefully, in just the right dosage, with a tenderness you can hardly imagine. Do not recoil from afflictions, since they are among My most favored gifts. Trust Me and don’t be afraid, for I am your Strength and Song.  My heart says of you, “Seek his face!” Your face, Lord, I will seek.

—Psalm 27:8But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.
—2 Corinthians 4:7“Surely God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. The Lord, the Lord, is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation.”
—Isaiah 12:2I am ever so near you, hovering over your shoulder, reading every thought. People think that thoughts are fleeting and worthless, but yours are precious to Me. I smile when you think lovingly of Me. My Spirit, who lives within you, helps you to think My thoughts. As your thinking goes, so goes your entire being.Let Me be your positive Focus. When you look to Me, knowing Me as God with you, you experience Joy. This is according to My ancient design, when I first crafted man. Modern man seeks his positive focus elsewhere: in sports, sensations, acquiring new possessions. Advertising capitalizes on the longing of people for a positive focus in their lives. I planted that longing in human souls, knowing that only I could fully satisfy it. Delight yourself in Me; let Me become the Desire of your heart.“The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel”—which means, “God with us.”
—Matthew 1:23Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.
