Likileaks File #3 The Rolodex Finds It’s Place In History

My oldest son Keith which is the “K” of KMA Records called me this past weekend. He said someone called his house wanting to talk about getting a demo done. Keith and my daughter in law live in our old house and they kept the old phone number. Occasionally an old client that kept my number in their ROLODEX will call there looking for me. I explained to him that she was probably calling the number she had listed in her

ROLODEX and she never up-dated it when I moved. His immediate response was no one has a ROLODEX anymore. He said everyone keeps their phone numbers in their contacts page on their cell phones. I tried to explain to him that there are many people that own a cell phone that don’t even know how to save their friends phone numbers on the phone. He just laughed and thought I was being silly.

I have a ROLODEX with all of my contacts information A-Z in one convenient little card filing device sitting on my KMA Records desk. I have owned it since 1992. I will admit that changing information sometimes requires tearing up the old card and starting a new one. I guess you might call that delete or save as in today’s world. If you still own a ROLODEX and are proud of it, let me know. I don’t think I am the only person that still owns one but you never know.
