Do you owe any taxes: Recently a friend of mine was all upset at his bookkeeping service he uses.  He says his business tax or business license renewal was due and so he made his annual appointment with his bookkeeper.

After several minutes she gave him the good news that since his business was showing a loss instead of a profit that he didn’t owe any taxes for that year.  She then said that will be $50 do you want to pay me by check or credit card?

He got all upset because he had to pay $50 just to find out he didn’t owe any taxes.  How much would you be willing to pay to discover you didn’t owe any taxes?
