Have extra OTC meds? If you have unopened, unexpired Tylenol, Advil, Alka-Seltzer, Tums or other over-the-counter remedies send them to Military Connections, 312 Auburn Street, Pittsburgh, PA 15235. This non-profit organization ships more than 600 care packages monthly to soldiers overseas who are stationed far from a PX or who can’t afford them. Learn more at MilitaryConnections.org.
Staying in a hotel? Save the shampoo! Next time you stay in a hotel and don’t use the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, soap, mouthwash and other items, take them when you leave, then send them to Operation: Care & Comfort, 2392 Walden Square, San Jose, CA 95124.
