60 YEAR RADIO HOST PASSES INTO THE NIGHT For more than 60-years, longtime Vermont morning host Don Mullally wakes-up listeners on WSTJ-1340 in St. Johnsburg, VT. Generations of youngsters listen to Don Mullally if snow causes school closure, plus his timely reports from the county fair. Up until three weeks ago, Don is still on the radio until he becomes ill. On Friday, November 18, 2016, local radio legend Don Mullally passes away at 88 in the early morning hours at Dartmouth Hitchcock Memorial Hospital.

AFTER 52 YEARS PLANTE RETIRES On Wednesday, November 16, 2016, CBS Evening News anchor Scott Pelley toasts Bill Plante at a packed Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C. after a remarkable 52-year career. At 78 for CBS, Bill Plante covers five consecutive presidencies and works with nearly a dozen different co-White House correspondents. According to Vanity Fair, Lesley Stahl jokes: He’s outlasted about 300 CBS News presidents. Scott Pelley opines: He’s integrity wrapped in talent wrapped in grace.

WHO IS HIGHEST PAID TV HOST? If you guess that Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly heads the earnings list, not so, because Fox News’s longtime #1 host ranks third with a measly $18 million salary. The highest-paid TV News Host is Sean Hannity at $29 million. Number two is Matt Lauer of NBC’s The Today Show at a whopping $22 million annually. Shepard Smith is seventh at $10 million a year. The Kelly File host Megyn Kelly comes in fifth with between $10 and $12 million annually.
