THE BIG O RETURNS TO BEANTOWN How long is it since The Puritan City hears The Big O on the radio? 2013? Well, that’s too long because local Sports radio legend Glenn Ordway soon returns to Entercom Sports/Talk ESPN WEEI-850 Boston, MA. Ordway who hosts Big Show With The Big O for 18 years on WEEI-850 before his ouster in 2013 joins former Boston Red Sox infielder Lou Merloni plus ex-New England Patriot Christian Fauria weekdays from 10am-2pm (ET) back on WEEI-850 beginning September 8, 2015.

CHARLOTTE FLIPS SPORTS BACK TO CONSERVATIVE TALK In January 2013, to boost its Sports standing in the Top 25 radio markets, CBS Radio flips WBCN-1660 in market #24 Charlotte, NC from Conservative Talk to CBS Radio’s national Sports package. But in October 2014, when Florida-based Beasley Broadcast Group grabs CBS Radio’s cluster of Charlotte stations, including Sports Talk WFNZ-610, it flips WBCN-1660 back to Conservative Talk with Premiere Networks’ Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham and Sean Hannity.

Market Manager Mike Fowler tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Rodney Ho: I made the cuts for valid business reasons. DANNY MACK MCWILLIAMS [GM KRNH FM Country (The Ranch 92.3)] (Kerrville, TX) Subject: Michelle Lee-Outlaw. Jim, I was saddened to hear of the passing of one of the most talented radio people I have ever had the pleasure to work with Michelle Lee-Outlaw. Michelle came to work for K-99 Radio in Corpus Christi, I believe, in 1995. She had been in Abilene, where she was a ratings monster, on KEAN. She continued her midday dominance at K-99. Her ratings were unbelievable, nobody could touch them. I was lucky enough to follow her midday show, as afternoon host, and I know, without a doubt, the ratings success I enjoyed was due to her dominance and handing off her incredibly strong audience to me, each afternoon. What a sweet lady, she was always genuinely happy and always had a smile on her face. The listeners loved her, as did everyone on our team. I will always remember her saying “it’s me, it’s me, it’s Mi-shelly-lee,” when she came on during a live remote broadcast. I thought I would play off that one day when I was on the road and when she handed off to me I said, “I’m back, I’m back, it’s Danny Mack.” She thought that was so funny and we both laughed about it. That smile and laugh, I will always cherish. It’s not many talents who are the whole package, talent, kindness, love and respect, but Michelle certainly was one of them and she will be missed. “Danny Mack” McWilliams

JAY WALKER [CBS Radio Dallas/KJKK FM/Infinity KTSA-550/KTFM FM/Jay Walker Prod] (Dallas-McKinney, TX) Jim Now that there are no conventions like Gavin, or Radio and Records, we don’t have an opportunity to gather and socialize anymore. Once radio was blown up, most of us were scattered to the wind as well which makes it hard to keep track of “Who is Where”… But we sure had some good times back then, at least from what I remember HAHA… Jay
