A Real South African Skin Color Story

When you stop and think about the South African labor laws and how 99% of the population is employed without any remorse, shame or fear of victimization by the color of their skin, and not by their abilities to do the job. Then it comes as no surprise that the following really happened to a customer who ordered a cake at the biggest South African supermarket in South Africa for a colleague who was leaving their law services for other employment:

Supermarket Employee:   ‘Hello ‘dis be Pick&Pay, how can I help you?’
Customer: ‘ I would like to order a cake for a going away party this week.’
Supermarket  Employee:  ‘What you want on the cake?’
Customer:  ‘Best Wishes Suzanne’ and underneath that ‘We will miss you’.
