VETERAN HOUSTON RADIO HOST HAS CANCER Ryan Chase, longstanding co-host of Roula & Ryan Morning Show on Cumulus Top 40 KRBE FM (104.1) Houston, TX reveals that he has prostate cancer. The ten-year KRBE FM veteran, breaks the news on Wednesday morning’s radio show. Ryan says that he receives his diagnosis over the phone in August 2016. Thank God, Chase says his cancer does not spread, it remains treatable, plus he endures hormone and radiation therapy to keep it in tact.

CHINA BUYS DICK CLARK PRODUCTI0NS That’s right! Chinese company Dalian Wanda Group buys Dick Clark Productions for $1 billion. Variety reports: this marks another aggressive move into Hollywood for the Wanda Group, which already owns Legendary Entertainment and AMC Theaters and plans to acquire Carmike Cinemas, a deal that creates the world’s largest movie exhibitor. Dick Clark Productions produces The Golden Globes, American Music Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards.

THE 2017 ROCK ‘N’ ROLL HALL OF FAME NOMINEES On Tuesday, October 18, 2016, The Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame reveals its 2017 nominees: The Zombies, Joe Tex, Joan Baez, Steppenwolf, J. Geils Band, Kraftwerk, The Electric Light Orchestra, Journey, Chaka Khan, Chic, Yes and The Cars. They join first time nominees Pearl Jam, Tupac Shakur, Bad Brains and Jane’s Addiction along with Janet Jackson and MC5. In December 2016, The Rock Hall reveals its winners. Their induction is in April 2017.

But, the Cubs-Indians had a third more TV audience Sunday night, as the NFL’s spiral continues to look like a spiked football. Trump TV is just a nice little unknown and a minimal threat to the FOX Force in cable command nationwide.
