WHISNews21 Prayer Line and thoughts for yesterday, today and tomorrow by Marty Martel

Prayers for Penny DeHavenMAY HER SOUL REST IN PEACE IN THE LOVING ARMS OF OUR BLESSED SAVIOR. I STILL DO NOT HAVE FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS AT THIS TIME.

Just received the following from friend Barbara, in regard to her husband Pete.  Thank you all for the many prayers offered up in their names.  Pete is not yet completely “out of the woods” yet, so continued prayers will be appreciated. – Bill Johnson

Pete Update: We are going home. He will have to wear a life vest at all times (except in the shower) for about 3 months. If he should have a cardiac event, the vest will provide an electrical shock to restart his heart. After three months, he shouldn’t need it anymore. It will be several months before life gets back to “normal” again—whatever normal is. It has been a long three weeks. Thank you all for your prayers. You are a mighty prayer group.

Florine Magness had an accident yesterday, she is okay, but please keep her in your prayers.

Also please keep my friend Bill in your prayers as today he will be having a scan taken and pray that all the results are good for him.

To Spread Cheer

Holy God, as I stumble through this life, help me to create more laughter than tears,

Dispense more cheer than gloom, spread more joy than despair.

Let me remind those I meet that our final existence will be total joy,

And that we may taste this joy through the Spirit even today.

Never let me become so indifferent that I will fail to see the wonder in the eyes of a child,

Or the twinkle in the eyes of the aged. Never let me forget that my total effort is to cheer people,

Make them happy, and forget momentarily all the temporary unpleasantness in their lives.

And in my final moment, may I hear You whisper,

“When you made My people smile, you made Me smile.”

Amen
