Thanks so much for posting this news, Frans. I’m very grateful for prayers and they are still needed.
The prognosis on Bill is not so good since sending out the newsletter. He saw the doctor Monday,
her last patient of the day before going on vacation. I only mention this because his situation is very
serious and it’s not a good feeling knowing she’s not around. His platelets were 8; She had him
immediately get an infusion and yesterday and today get a 5-hour treatment (immunoglobulin). I don’t
know what his platelets are now but it appears that they’ll go back down again even if his dosage of
Prednisone has been doubled. She doesn’t think a Splenectomy is advisable due to his age. I’ve
been reading about low blood platelets online and there are not of choices for his condition when what
he’s been trying does not work. The drug nPlate has many serious side effects. I’ve been stressed due
to this and the fact that our air conditioner broke down (17 years old) so we’re getting a new one Friday.
With this $3700 bill plus all our hospital expenses I’m concerned about finances. I have faith the Lord will
see us through this… but even so, it has been difficult. Thanks in advance for continued prayer!! Judy
