WHISNews21 Prayer Line and thoughts for Saturday April 6, By Marty Martel.

Thank you friends for all your Prayers and comforting comments you have shared with our family in the loss of my Mom. It means a great deal to us that you have taken the time to share in our sorrow and we won’t forget that you were there for us. We know Mom is enjoying a wonderful life in Heaven and waiting on us. Again thank you so very much for caring ! Donnie & Vickie Clark and Family

I have had the most blessed week with the Grubb Family (The Full Quiver Bluegrass-Gospel Band). They had the opportunity to sing at several nursing homes this week and today to spread the joy of their ministry in song with us at the Sherwood Forest Apts. Afterwards they joined me, Warner and Melody for sandwiches, snacks and much conversation. They are truly a blessing to everyone they meet. Pray as they leave Nashville Saturday morning to do shows in Linden and Pleasantville, TN, then Sunday afternoon off to their home in Collinsville, TX. They have been on the road for 6 weeks and are looking forward to returning home.

We plan on having them back in Nashville as soon as the times can be worked out. Pray for journey mercies. Florine

I for one, am thankful for the power of the Internet. You would never see this in or on any of this country’s main media outlets. Shame on them.

DO YOU KNOW WHAT THIS IS? OR WHERE THIS IS?

This statue currently stands outside the Iraqi palace, now home to the 4th Infantry Division. It will eventually be shipped home and put in the memorial museum in Fort Hood, Texas.

The statue was created by an Iraqi artist named Kalat, who for years was forced by Saddam Hussein to make the many hundreds of bronze busts of Saddam that dotted Baghdad.

Kalat was so grateful for the America’s liberation of his country, he melted 3 of the heads of the fallen Saddam and made the statue as a memorial to the American soldiers and their fallen warriors.

Kalat worked on this memorial night and day for several months.

To the left of the kneeling soldier is a small Iraqi girl giving the soldier comfort as he mourns the loss of his comrade in arms.

Do you know why we don’t hear about this in the news? The media avoids it because it does not have the shock effect. But, we can do something about it.

We can pass this along to as many people as we can in honor of all our brave military who are making a difference.

“I believe in the sun even if it isn’t shining. I believe in Love even when I am alone. I believe in God even when He is silent.”
