DISNEY IN TALKS TO BUY PART OF FOX According to CNBC, to leave behind a media company that tightly focuses on news and sports, 21st Century Fox conducts talks the last few weeks to sell most of its company to Walt Disney Company. But, there is no certainty that these talk will lead to a deal. According to sources, Disney will not purchase all of Fox. For Disney, the opportunity to take control of another movie studio and TV production assets looks mighty attractive

JOANIE GREEN [KPRC TV CH 2, KZEW FM, KFWD FM, KNOK FM, KAUM FM, KILT FM, KNUZ-1230, Metro Traffic, Houston Taping for the Blind] (Tulsa, OK) Jim, In 1977, I was working at KAUM (FM), the ABC O & O. I worked there from ’76-’78 from 9-1 and 10-2. I would sometimes be there later due to the production shift. I’d see Weaver as he’d get in for his morning shift. We were on the 12th floor of the Fannin Bank building at Main and Holcomb ~ KXYZ (1320) was on the 16th floor. I remember one person hassling me and telling me he was watching me. I crawled on the floor and looked down and saw a guy standing in the phone booth on the phone on the corner at the Burger King. That was creepy. I remember someone following me as I left there and I ended up driving to the Beechnut substation on my way home…whoever was following me kept on driving. This is not a story you need to air…it was just one of the things that happened. Good night…I gotta run. Talk with you later. Joanie

TRIVIA ANSWER: Popular TV announcer and LA radio DJ Charlie O’Donnell is the news announcer on the Simon and Garfunkel song 7 O’Clock News/Silent Night.

CHARLES GEORGE [kc5rai, ex KCHU FM] (Dallas, TX) Subject: ESPN 680. I like Choices when they are not forced on me. Like I often buy the House Brand. Like I have a Sigma Guitar looks a lot like my Martin but cost me less. Also I like Maryland Club and Folgers Coffee but have used the CVS House Brand which is just as good and less, better than paying a high price at a store operated by a Company from Seattle. 73, KC5RAI

LILLIE KNAULS (April 30, 1938 – p) Lately, I’ve noticed people my age are so much older than me.
