TRIVIA ANSWER: Barry Gray is generally considered the father of the Call-In Radio format. In 1945, as a WMCA-570 NYC DJ, bored with spinning music, puts the telephone up to his microphone. The caller is one of the most popular celebrities of the day bandleader Woody Herman. This live interview is such a hit that the talk radio format begins.

Kendall is reading a chapter or two each morning from the Godfather of Music book about Morris Levy given to me by daughter Julie. Morris was a very good friend and he really enjoyed Christi coming with me to his farm in upstate New York because his son (Adam) was about the same age as Christi and they played together. Christi especially enjoyed swimming in his pool…Because Christi would come to spend summers with me…she got to go to a lot of very interesting places and met some heavy duty celebs…ah yes the memories flow on the happy fourth…Love to all…Chuck
