Outside the KBUC FM studio window we witness a traffic jam of Glen Campbell fans in both directions. Since 2011, Glen Campbell battles Alzheimer’s disease. Campbell’s wife of 34 years, Kim, tells Studio 10 Live that Glen is in Stage 7 of Alzheimer’s and is no longer able to verbally communicate. Our prayers are with Glen Campbell.

BILL CHERRY [Realtor, In late 1950s Music ’til Dawn host on WWL-870] (Dallas, TX) Subject: Jim Rose Remembers Radio March 18, 2016 [Friday] Issue #1495. ‘mornin’ Jim — Swann’s music catalog came in two types: one that the record stores used so they’d know the information they d need to find and order a record a customer wanted that the store didn’t carry. They were gigantic loose leaf books that usually sat on their counter. The smaller one was about the size of a Readers Digest. It came out about every month. Stations and the public usually subscribed to them. The small ones were primarily listings of the availability of more current tunes…say those of the past five years. A lot of the classical music lovers bought the small one. Best, Bill
