The son of Rev. Billy Graham is asking for prayers for his Dad.  His father has prayed for so many in his lifetime, so please offer up prayers for the Rev. Sr.  Thank you.

I did go to Penny DeHaven’s visitation and was so happy to see so many of Penny’s friends, music people, artists, and friends in attendance.  She looked as she always has-BEAUTIFUL, and she was resting peaceful as we all talked about our great friendship with her.  The many flowers were beautiful that were sent.

I especially want to say thank you to Jackie Monaghan for her undying friendship with Penny for all of these years.  Jackie was responsible for all of the funeral arrangements, and Christ’s Church was a beautiful place for all of us to say goodbye to Penny.  I know that Jackie was heartbroken at the loss of Penny, but she was always by her side, and Penny knew that she could always depend on Jackie.  My heart goes out to Jackie at this sad time.

I found myself in deep thought and I guess a little depressed that once again I had to say goodbye to another dear friend in our life, but when I looked a Penny I knew that this is where I should be and it did not take me only seconds to realize that she was watching over all of us, and I was not going to disappoint her.

I found the picture that I have included to look at her sweet smile that she gave to all of us along with her great friendship.  If you are not acquainted with Penny, then go to Google and type in her name and read about her career, and you will be amazed at the great success she enjoyed.  We will all miss her so much.

I KNOW THAT HER SOUL IS RESTING IN PEACE NOW WITH OUR BLESSED SAVIOR WHO SHE LOVED SO MUCH.

I ask you to remember Jodie Miller in your thoughts and prayers.  Jodie’s husband passed away this past Tuesday night.  They lived in Oklahoma.  Jodie is a great part of our country music industry, and prayers for her and her family at this time will guide them through their hurt and sadness at this time.

Subject: 6099 Urgent Prayer Request – Fr. Barth

Good Afternoon Brothers All

Fr. Barth informed me today that his oldest brother, who is a chief in his community in Nigeria, has been Kidnapped from the family compound.  Five armed men abducted him and took the cell phones of the family members and also his car.  The family has heard no news and has no idea where he is or if he is still alive.  Fr. Barth’s brother is 69 years old and has 5 children.  The family is working with the police to try and find him and secure his safe return.

Please flood the gates of Heaven with prayers for his safe return and for the peace and comfort of the entire Okere family as they deal with this tragedy.

Prayer for the Morning

Blessed are you, O Lord my God, King of the universe, who removes sleep from my eyes,

That I may see the returning light of the your day. I thank you for all that you have done

While I was asleep, watching over me and all your children while we slept unaware,

And I pray that my thoughts and acts this day may show forth my love and thanks

For you and all you have done for me.

Help me through your Holy Spirit, that I may remember what you have taught me

In the Bible and it may show forth in my every deed. Let me not wander into the hands of sin,

Nor into the hands of pride or perversity, nor into the hands of temptation,

Nor into the hands of shame, but steer my inclinations towards goodness and charity

This morning and all the day. In the name of Christ I pray.
