Good afternoon from Hendersonville, TN.  Our weather is beautiful and I hope yours is also.  Hope you do not mind my welcoming you to read my Thought for the Day and our Prayer Line.  We are in the 80 degree mark heading for the 90’s.  It is a blue sky day and more of them to come.  I wish God’s Blessings on you today and each day.

Subject: Prayer request
I received this on Facebook from SUSAN RAYE WIGGINS.  Susan used to sing with Buck Owens and her husband Jerry was Buck’s drummer.
I have been too overwhelmed to post the past few days then I was too uninformed to know what to post. I’ve basically been on auto pilot waiting to make sense of the events of the last 3 or 4 days but have decided to share and ask for prayers from the many prayer warriors I know on FB.
Jerry was admitted to ICU at Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara on Saturday following Madsen’s 1st birthday party. He he is still there with bleeding on his brain ( a side effect of the blood thinning med they were giving him to counteract possible blood clots from A-fib) it is causing confusion among other things. It is a wait & see process so I don’t know how to make plans when we are “waiting”. So, I will do what I know works PRAY!! I will accept any and all prayers on our behalf and trust in God for all things in His perfect time. As I know more I will update. We so appreciate our children as they are supporting us. Brianna is so helpful here in SB and is such a strong encourager and shoulder to lean on and Brock & Melissa are holding things together at home by staying with our dog. They all have children busy with school, sports, etc but are still there to help. Thanks to Josh for keeping things together at work and all of our children and friends and church for loving and caring at this time. I love you all beyond measure.

Hello my dear friends.  I have been asked by the fine folks stepping up to help me and put on this benefit for me to send this out to you.  It is very humbling for me and while I have performed at numerous benefits, giving is a lot easier than receiving.  My health pathway has been tough and scary, but I remain hopeful that God is not finished with me yet.
I am truly overwhelmed with the love and support of my friends and peers and give special thanks to Ted Roddy, Lee Roy Eichler (his number is in his email below), Bubba and Jill Cox and Bubba’s Band, Nan Latimer and Justin Trevino and any others I am forgetting to mention.  It is very hard for me to be in this place.
For you pickers, if you wish to participate, I would contact Ted Roddy at trodddy@grandecom.net  If you are not musical but have other talents to offer with auction, organization, etc.  contact Ted or Nan Latimer atnanlatimer@yahoo.com  I know the folks getting the ball running could use helping hands.  I am asking for those I feel will be over-worked.
I am grateful and I graciously accept this amazing blessing from my loved ones.  I am still taking it all in.  I have been instructed my focus is to be on getting well and I have promised to keep my focus on that.  I appreciate your prayers. Thank you and I am sending love and God’s blessings to all of you.

Prayer to Grow Closer to God: Dear Lord, I am trying to do better and better each day; I am trying to walk with you and do your will, But sometimes it seems like I am slipping backwards no matter how hard I try. And I get confused sometimes; even if I want to do the right thing, I don’t always know what it is.  So this is my prayer, heavenly Lord, For your help in straightening out my mind and straightening out my life.  Lead me, Lord, and let your Holy Spirit guide me. Even if the correction is painful, help me to keep my mind open to your truth. Let me do your will in my every action, and know your will, that I might do it. Help me not be deceived by false assertions or glib intelligence, By those who would excuse or promote sinful actions, By those who simply do not know; and above all, help me not to deceive myself. Guide me away from excuses and rationalizations when I have sinned, But into your holy truth, that I might know my sin, And correct what I can, and ask forgiveness for what I cannot. By the grace and mercy of holy Christ, I ask this – Amen
