.WHISNews21 Prayer Line and thoughts for Wednesday August 21, By Marty Martel.

wednesday01.

Good afternoon from Hendersonville, TN.  It is raining cats and dogs, but the parting of the grey clouds is coming this afternoon, so blue skies are going to be part of today and I hope the same for you.  It is 81 degrees and moving upward for a warm day.
Just keep looking upward where our Blessed Lord keeps watch over all of his creations and as we all know he must be saddened at what is going on in many parts of our world.  Sadly, prayer is so easy for all, and I feel that without prayer we are looking at more bad times ahead of us.  He is a forgiving Lord, but he is showing us his power in so many ways.  I see it, so I am sure that many others see it also.  God Bless each of you today.  Make it a good day.
Sad news from one of our long time industry giants, Gene Kennedy’s (R.O.P.E. Board of Directors).  Gene’s sister, Carolyn Faye Seyle passed away at the age of 69 from a long term illness.  A memorial service will be held Friday in Columbia, SC. Please keep Gene and his family in your thoughts and prayers as they must live with the sadness of the loss of their loved one. She is now with the Lord and she will no longer suffer through any illness.
MAY CAROLYN REST IN THE LOVING ARMS OF OUR BLESSED SAVIOR AS SHE IS WITH HER MOTHER AND FATHER IN THE HEAVENLY HOME OF THE LORD.
Continued prayers for Bayron Binkley, Leona Williams, Ray Price, and my friend Edith Wisner who is having major health issues, and also for her family.  Just received word that Jim Case is having more health issues and I ask you for your prayers and prayer lines for him to be touched by the hand of our Blessed Lord, as well as all of the people we ask your prayers for.
The following email came in a short while ago from Leona Williams and I feel that I should send it on to everyone to correct the fact that she is not hospitalized. This is great news.  God Is Good. – Marty

Subject: Re: Ladies Night Out – Super Show
Hi Marty, I am doing just fine…won’t have to have any surgery and doing my show this week at the Sandusky Ohio county fair. I may have told you the wrong words the other day, I was at the hospital getting an MRI, but was not or have not been checked into the hospital…the hospital is getting calls, flowers, I’m getting an overwhelming amount of messages and emails and so many phone calls I have to shut the phone off…very humbling to see such an outpouring of love, but I am not at the hospital. As I write this I am at my sons house, where I drove to after I got home. His wife is head of the woman’s care at the hospital in Branson, where I get all my medical care. I am surrounded by family and doing wonderful. Just don’t want people to worry unnecessarily about me. Thanks for your prayers and concern, I am blessed and doing fine. God is good all the time –  Leona
Prayer for Goodness: Heavenly Father, who has given us the gift of your law, So that we might know our sin, and your Son, That we might be forgiven where we fall short: Give me the grace to remember your holy Word, When my surroundings tempt me to confusion and weakness, That I might more nearly approach true obedience to your will. Help me to resist the arguments of the ungodly; Let me not be deceived by false beauty; And let me never replace the truth which you have put into my heart With the clever words of men. Through Christ I pray – Amen
