WHISNews21 Prayer Line and thoughts for Saturday April 20, By Marty Martel.
.
There is much to be thankful for today in our country with the capture of the second suspect in the Boston Bombings. Our prayers go out for all of the law enforcement organizations for their work in capturing this person. Their work together as one team, is just another reason that our country does not want these terrible things to take place and we must find a way to stop this hatred from those who enter our country, reap the benefits we give to all, and still we have those that wish to bring us harm. Prayers are greatly needed for those who lost their lives in Boston, and for their families who must bear the sadness of their loss. Prayers for those injured and their families that they will have a complete recovery. Prayers for the people of Boston as they move forward in their lives knowing that our nation and most of the world share their grief and sadness at this time.
Continued prayers for the people of West, TX as they endure the loss of life’s and all of those injured from the explosion at the fertilizer factory.

We must join together with prayer to our Blessed Lord to guide us through these times of turmoil throughout our country and the world. We are seeing signs that make me think the world needs to change the direction it is moving toward. North Korea, Middle East, our borders being besieged with many who look for hope from our country, but there are those who come to our country with contempt. We must find a way to live with our brothers or….I am not a priest or minister, but I do know what is in my heart and I know that there is a Supreme Being who has given us warning if changes are not forthcoming…
Pray for a dear friend of mine who is having surgery at noon on Monday. Her name is Shelia Mc Conkey and the surgery is on the nodules of her neck that involve the nerves. Please pray that her face won’t become paralyzed. She asked for us all to pray.
Once again we covet your prayers as Raymond Carlson leaves Monday morning for Kenya. The trip will be long, with a 12-hour stop in Amsterdam. Please pray for his safety and good health, and that the Lord will give him the messages to bring at the conferences and camps where he will be speaking. Pray for wisdom as he counsels with brethren there.
God bless you all for your many prayers for precious children of God – Carol Lee Cooper
Sandra Cox is a YMCA friend … please pray for her and her friends Ann & Bob.
Subject: Ann and Bob: Once again I ask for prayer for these two friends. Ann is having problems; the treatments have been suspended; they are causing too much confusion. Do not know what the situation really is except it is bad. Bob, of course, is very depressed over it all, Thanks – Grant Grieves
Lord God, I pray that this day my conduct will be Like that you have set for your disciples Above reproach. May I be this day temperate, sensible, respectable, hospitable, Able to teach, not given to drunkenness, and not violent, but gentle. May I never be quarrelsome, always seeking peace even in disagreement, And may my love be for you and my fellow man, not for money. I pray that I manage my own household well. If I have any children in my charge, I pray that I may take the time to see that they are in control, And behaving with proper respect. Grant me a good reputation with outsiders, So that I will not fall into disgrace and the snare of the devil. This I pray through my Lord Christ, Whose love and attention ever gave us an example of conduct – Amen.
