In the past months I have asked for prayers for my next door neighbor Don Stites who was diagnosed with cancer and had been battling for several months. Don passed away last night at 8PM and I ask you to pray for his wife Beth and their family in this time of sorrow. I do not know the funeral arrangements, but Beth wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers on her husband’s passing.  

MAY DON’S SOUL REST IN THE LOVING AND PEACEFUL ARMS OF OUR BLESSED LORD.

 Please keep in your thoughts and prayers line, Thomas Sellers. Thomas is the manager of John A’s restaurant, and as you know, he underwent back and neck surgery a few weeks ago and is doing well. He went back to work, and this past Saturday he tripped and fell and at this time he has had X Rays and I do not know the results, but he sure could use our prayers at this time.

NATURE’S BEAUTY: So much of beauty can be seen when Spring makes her debut… Bedecked in finest raiment, a lovely queen bows low for all to view. Within her arms she carries bouquets for all who stand And revel in her glory, the fairest of the land. So much of Nature can be seen when Summer comes to call… A lazy day spent by a stream, beside a waterfall… What more of pleasure could one seek,  Than to toll around any day of the week. Sometimes in sun, sometimes in shade And take in all the wonders God made? Red roses in my flower bed have taken on a deeper red…And other flowers of every hue are kept afresh with mornings dew. And when Summer comes to a close, She grants me one remaining rose, As I wave a loving and fond farewell…I’m still in awe of her magic spell – Lou Ella Cullipher
