Please keep in your thoughts and prayers Thomas Sellers, our dear friend who is the manager of John A’s Restaurant here in Nashville. Today at noon he will undergo his surgery for neck and back, and I ask you to keep him in your prayers and on your prayer lines.

I am asking for prayer for a friend who has had 7 surgeries to remove black mold fungus. My understanding is that it normally kills people. The last 2 surgeries have been to remove part of his nose and cheek. He is trying to just give up and die. He is not saved but some of us have talked to him about God. I am at my wits end. I have prayed for God’s will be done, to use me as He sees fit. And now I am asking for your help. Thank you.

I thought I should check out my facebook page today, and I am so happy that I did. I did not realize how many awesome birthday wishes were sent to me, and I could never answer all of them, so to each of you who sent me BD wishes, I want you to know how very much it has meant to me. I did not know that there were that many out there in cyberspace that know me, read my Thought for the Day, Prayer Line, my news radio show, my editorial, and my email news. I was shocked and excited to see the list of Happy Birthdays. Much appreciated and I love all of you. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you – Marty

Loving God, transform my heart so I may be open to all your graces during this Year of Faith. As I experience the abundance of your favor, may I desire to praise and worship you even more. May I live each day in the fullness of the Gospel, loving you and loving my neighbor. Jesus, help me encounter you profoundly with a burning desire to love and serve you in the poorest of the poor.  May I discover, over and over, the infinite value of each person. Let me strive to be in perfect solidarity with you as you are with me so I can be your ambassador of love to the world. Holy Spirit, empower me to advocate for children who have no voice in this world, so each of us can live with the dignity inherent in us. Amen.
