WHISNews21 Prayer Line and thoughts for yesterday, today and tomorrow by Marty Martel
I hope that each of you had a super holiday. I enjoyed the hot dogs, hamburgers, etc., etc., also. Now it is time for me to get back to work. I need to explain some things to everyone so everyone will know why I have not been visible as usual. First I was admitted to the hospital last Wed. and discharged this past Sunday. I know that in my heart the prayers that were said for me were what made my stay short and also the medical staff of Hndville Hosp., took special care of me, no doubt they were influenced also by all of the prayers being said. I have been home since Saturday and doing great. I cannot thank you enough for keeping me in your prayers to ask the Blessed Lord to watch over me and the medical staff who attended to me. This has not been my best year, but when someone knows that prayers are being said my many, then it is the most important miracle that I could ask for. God Bless Each of You.
Just a short explanation of what was wrong. There were problems with my blood count, and with the medical staff of Hndville Hospital watching over me, but being guided by the hand of the miracle maker, Our Blessed Savior, I am behind my desk at home working today, so you have made these changes evident by your prayers. I owe my health improvement to our Blessed Lord, and to all of you. Thank you for keeping me in your thoughts.
Prayers for Those Torn by Alcohol and Drugs
I pray, O God of hope, for all persons and families whose lives are torn and disrupted
By drugs and alcohol. Enable them to identify the illness. Strengthen them to seek help.
Bless them with the power of your love, which imparts transformation and wholeness
To those who trust in your name. Grant that as they walk this tortured road,
They may journey together, bound close together in the bond of love.
Shine your light upon them, Lord Christ, that they may see the path out of their misery,
And give them the strength to follow it.
Amen
