Jesse McReynolds has updated me on Jesse’s health issue.  He is making good progress, and Joy wants to thank everyone for their prayers, because he health changed for the better during our prayers and prayer lines, so once again we know that our prayers are answered.  That is great news.  Thank you for answering the prayer requests as you always do.  Our Blessed Lord hears and answers our thoughts and prayers.
 
The following just came in from Jesse McReynolds wife, Joy.
Last Friday, January 17th, Jesse went to St. Thomas Hospital for an electrophysiological study on his heart. Jesse had been having irregular heartbeats & dizzy spells since last July.
The doctors found that his heart was beating as high as 200 beats per minute due to some bad nerve connections. Probably higher when he was playing fast music. It’s a miracle he didn’t have a heart attack.
The doctor is optimistic that Jesse’s condition is cured. The procedure may need repeating, but we have to see how Jesse does.
This year, 2014, is Jesse’s 50th anniversary at the world famous Grand Ole Opry.   We are very excited & hopeful that Jesse will be able to come back to the Grand Ole Opry soon for his anniversary year.

Prayer to Dedicate Oneself to Christ This Day

Almighty God, as I cross the threshold of this day, I commit myself Your care.

Mold me in your image. In everything I say and do,

Let my mind be on the eternal goodness of heaven rather than the vanities of earth,

Meaningless pride, or the anger and envy that tear apart my precious soul.

I dedicate myself to your holiness, Oh sweet and innocent Christ,

And pray that you may be with me, to check my tongue before it can speak evil

And to stop my hand when it seeks to sin. I come to you as a child.

I will look to you for guidance and wisdom. Let me know the joyful feeling

Of having done something that pleased you; let me never feel the pain of knowing

I have disappointed you. And let me live without fear, without confusion,

Always steady in the certainty of your forgiveness and ultimate victory, I pray.
