They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, Psalms 92:14<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Age is just a date on a Calendar Attitude is what Counts. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

You can be old at twenty-nine and young at ninety-two. Larry King once interviewed Ty Cobb, one of the greatest baseball players of all time. He asked Cobb, who was then seventy years old,\u00a0\u2018What do you think you\u2019d hit if you were playing these days?\u2019\u00a0Cobb, a lifetime .366 hitter (still the record) replied,\u00a0\u2018About .290, maybe .300.\u2019\u00a0King asked,\u00a0\u2018Is that because of travel, the night games, the artificial turf, and all the new pitches like the slider?\u2019\u00a0Cobb responded,\u00a0\u2018No. It\u2019s because I\u2019m seventy!\u2019<\/p>\n

Here are three great benefits to having lived longer:<\/strong><\/p>\n

1) You are more tolerant.\u00a0Having fallen into many of life\u2019s potholes yourself, you\u2019re quicker to extend a helping hand when others fall into them. Having survived defeats and lived to fight another day, you\u2019re qualified to offer strength and hope to those who struggle.<\/p>\n

2) You are more humble.\u00a0A man who had just celebrated his fiftieth wedding anniversary said,\u00a0\u2018A man is always as young as he feels, but seldom as important.\u2019\u00a0Realizing that the world doesn\u2019t stop at your command or cater to your whims, you become more realistic. And in the process you find peace.<\/p>\n

3) You value time.\u00a0Margaret Deland said,\u00a0\u2018As soon as you feel too old to do a thing, do it.\u2019\u00a0Start by asking yourself, \u2018If not me, who? If not now, when?\u2019 Here\u2019s a promise from Scripture you can stand on:\u00a0\u2018They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.\u2019\u00a0Now get up off the couch and get going.<\/p>\n

Prayer\u00a0Heavenly Father, <\/strong><\/p>\n

help me see that age is Never a deterrent to getting up and doing something for You! <\/strong><\/p>\n
