WHISNews21 Prayer Line and thoughts for yesterday, today and tomorrow by Marty Martel

I am going to use my Thought for the Day to make the following public apology to all who read my daily Thought: I apologize to Jett Williams for sending out an email that came from another person regarding Jett’s issues in Lebanon this past week. I have known Jett and her deceased husband Keith for many years and they have been friends and very helpful to me in many instances when I was President of R.O.P.E., and a great asset to the country music community. Jett never turned me down on my requests for her to appear for our events.

The article was published in the Lebanon Democrat:

"lebanondemocratlogo1"

BY CAITLIN RICKARD CRICKARD@LEBANONDEMOCRAT.COM LEBANON – FEB 25, 2014

I am not going to include the article in this email because it would be senseless to do that. But as you can see I did not write the article, but I did add my comments to the article, and that is something that I should not have done because of my friendship with Jett, but I did send out what was sent to me. So to you Jett I apologize for sending the article. It was already worldwide and I should have just let it be. I made a mistake in my judgment and for that I am sorry. I am not a person who will not admit that I should have used better judgment. I have you in my prayers and I hope that you accept my apology. I regret that I might have hurt you in any way – Marty Martel

Morning Prayer

Let me to-day do something that shall take

A little sadness from the world’s vast store,

And may I be so favoured as to make

Of joy’s too scanty sum a little more.

Let me not hurt, by any selfish deed

Or thoughtless word, the heart of foe or friend;

Nor would I pass, unseeing, worthy need,

Or sin by silence when I should defend.

However meagre be my worldly wealth,

Let me give something that shall aid my kind –

A word of courage, or a thought of health,

Dropped as I pass for troubled hearts to find.

Let me to-night look back across the span

‘Twixt dawn and dark, and to my conscience say –

Because of some good act to beast or man –

“The world is better that I lived today.”

Amen
