\nPlease add Virginia Eaton’s name, my wife Joy’s nephew’s wife, to your prayer chain. \u00a0 She is a beautiful young woman who has been afflicted with a rare type of blood disease, and before her health insurance was declared illegal by Obamacare, was able to maintain a semi-normal life. \u00a0 Her new insurance, sponsored by Obama, covers birth control pills and abortifacients, but not this life-saving medicine. \u00a0 \u00a0Her appeal has been denied. \u00a0 \u00a0This young woman is a believer in the power and strength of God’s love and mercy, and is ready to meet him in the Heavenly City, but for the fact that she has a five year old son to raise. \u00a0 \u00a0 If your group and all the other groups I can notify will lift her name up to Jesus, she believes, as I do, that some way of dealing with this devastating disease can be conquered, either by medication (it costs $8000 a month) or by simply by HIM ordering it to depart her body and leave her in good health.\u00a0Your prayers and good thoughts are coveted – Steve Holland\u00a0

\nUpdate on Dan from Doug Blake
\n5:30 PM. Saturday 1\/11\/13
\nSharon Ratcliff reports. “This morning when we went to the hospital to see Dan, we found him with both eyes open, he was alert, and was able to speak. He told me that he loves me he waved to the grandchildren. It looked as if he was born again.” Sharon went on to say that she felt like this was ” A test that we had been through to strengthen our trust in God and the power of prayer.”and she was so grateful to be a part of Our Lady of the Lake Church community. Please continue to raise them both up in your prayers, and, it should go without saying, offer prayers of thanks.One last quote from Sharon …”Our God is an awesome God.” In His service, and yours, Doug Blake<\/p>\n

Heavenly Father, I give you a million thanks that I have woken up alive this morning, <\/b><\/p>\n

Once again to witness the magnificence, the glory of your creation. <\/b><\/p>\n

Even on the dreariest of days, when the weather doesn’t suit me, <\/b><\/p>\n

Let me rejoice in the taste of heaven you give us on earth. <\/b><\/p>\n

For the hottest, muggiest day; the coldest and most bitter weather; the clouds, the rain, <\/b><\/p>\n

Yhe wind and snow, the lightning and thunder \u2014 these are all your creations, <\/b><\/p>\n

Oh Lord, and all of them have a great beauty if I just take the time to see it.<\/b><\/p>\n

Should I be blind, what would I give to see the cloudy rainy day that I complain about? <\/b><\/p>\n

Should I be deaf, how much I would long to hear your thunder! <\/b><\/p>\n

When I lie dying, how sweet it will seem to have been bundled up against a chill wind, <\/b><\/p>\n

Or to be soaked in sweat as I work in the heat and humidity.<\/b><\/p>\n

Let me be always filled with gratitude for the world you have given me, <\/b><\/p>\n

Great God, Father and creator of all that is.<\/b><\/p>\n

Amen<\/b><\/p>\n
