Actor Jon Voight took the stage to ask fans to create a human chain of love for the \u2018Tonight I\u2019m Playing Possum\u2019 singer, who was a longtime friend to Jones.<br \/>\nVoight revealed Travis is \u201cgoing through a great challenge as we speak,\u201d according to the Tennessean\u2018s Jessica Bliss, who live-blogged from the show.<br \/>\n\u201cAs we know the most important thing, the most important thing to a person\u2019s recovery is their will to recover, and I feel that with all our love and prayers Randy will receive that energy and perhaps, perhaps a miracle may be shown,\u201d he told the audience.<br \/>\nVoight then asked everyone in attendance to grab the hand of the person beside them and shout \u201cRandy\u201d over and over again, adding, \u201cHe\u2019s not too far away from here, he can probably hear us from this building.\u201d<br \/>\nThe sold out Bridgestone Arena crowd then shouted, \u201cWe love you\u201d to Travis before a break for intermission.<br \/>\nThere haven\u2019t been any official updates on Travis\u2019 condition since he was released from the hospital in July, although Sammy Kershaw revealed that the troubled singer had developed pneumonia in August, and Billy Ray Cyrus said Travis still needs prayers\u00a0in early October. All previous updates and news posts from Travis\u2019\u00a0official website were recently deleted.<br \/>\nTabloid rumors have dominated headlines in the last month, with anonymous sources claiming Travis is paralyzed on his right side, leaving him unable to walk and barely able to speak. The National Enquirer claims he\u2019s in a wheelchair, wearing a helmet to protect his skull after surgery. Travis\u2019s publicity team has not responded to requests for an update or a refutal of the tabloid claims, including one reported to be from the singer\u2019s father, saying he may never perform again.<br \/>\n\u201cWe all love you, Randy, and we wish you a speedy recovery,\u201d Voight furthered, echoing the voice of country music as a whole. \u201cGod bless.\u201d<br \/>\nTravis performed \u2018Amazing Grace\u2019 at George Jones\u2019 funeral.
