<\/p>\n\u00a0<\/address>\n<\/div>\n\nSEEDS of GREATNESS<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nAuthor of\u00a0:\u00a0 “Become A Better You “<\/span><\/address>\nPastor Joel Osteen\u00a0also a terrific author !<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nPastor Joel is one of my favorite Pastors, and his books are <\/span>truly Inspiring, they\u00a0line up with God’s word, and has a different slant than many other\u00a0Pastors.\u00a0The wonderful thing of being immersed\u00a0 in\u00a0writing a column I get many blessings, and thankful for this time in my life to have this opportunity on Frans Maritz’s\u00a0web site http:\/\/www.wildhorse.co.za\/home\/<\/a> .\u00a0Years ago I wrote\u00a0for the U S Gospel News, until it’s CEO Paul Boden died, and no one took over this terrific Godly\u00a0newspaper.\u00a0 I missed it, loved meeting many of the Gospel artists & GROUPS\u00a0as I interviewed them, went to conventions and got\u00a0blessed in many ways.\u00a0 I even was able to Judge different award\u00a0shows.<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nNow on to my column and featuring a section from <\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nPastor Joel’s book<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\n“Become A Better\u00a0You ”\u00a0 <\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nDo YOU want to get more out of\u00a0life?\u00a0 Who doesn’t, right?\u00a0 Okay try this:\u00a0 Get up every day and rather than trying to be blessed, do everything in your power to be a blessing to someone else<\/span>.\u00a0 If you will do that for six weeks-trying to be a blessing to someone every day<\/span>– your life will be filled with so many blessings you won’t be able to contain them all.<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nI’ve discovered that if I meet other people’s needs, God will meet mine.\u00a0 If I make somebody else happy, God will make sure that I’m happy.\u00a0 Every day, we should look\u00a0for opportunities to be good to people.\u00a0 Maybe \u00a0you can buy\u00a0somebody’s \u00a0lunch, give somebody a ride if their car is giving them problems, , baby sit somebody’s children.\u00a0Young couples need some private time to be together.\u00a0Don’t make the mistake of living selfishly.\u00a0 That’s one of the worst prisons you could ever live in.\u00a0 YOU were created\u00a0 not to be focused only on yourself. God made you to be a giver.\u00a0The best way for you to be fulfilled is\u00a0to get your mind off yourself and reach out to others.<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nWake up in the morning with the attitude, WHO can I encourage, who can I inspire.\u00a0 Where is there a\u00a0need that I can meet?\u00a0 DON’T miss an opportunity to do something to help another have a better day. <\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\n![\"GodThinks\"](\"http:\/\/whisnews21.files.wordpress.com\/2013\/04\/godthinks.gif\")
<\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nSimple ways of reaching out to others:<\/span><\/strong><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nOn the freeway, when traffic backs up, let that car squeeze in front of you.<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nAt the grocery store when you have a large basket full of groceries and the person behind you \u00a0is\u00a0carrying \u00a0just a few, let him or her go ahead of\u00a0 you.\u00a0<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0\u00a0<\/address>\n\u00a0In the parking lot, when you pull up to that last spot at the same time as another car, back up \u00a0and\u00a0 let another person have that space. Prefer them over you.<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nPastor Joel added a true experience that happened to him and <\/span>his wife Victoria:\u00a0They went to a restaurant where they had eaten a number of times before.\u00a0They practically knew the menu and knew what they wanted. Joel was hungry\u00a0and anxious to get served. They both ordered right away.\u00a0Getting\u00a0Joel’s food took what seemed forever.\u00a0 He waited and waited.\u00a0It\u00a0just didn’t make sense.\u00a0The restaurant wasn’t even busy.\u00a0 When\u00a0the waitress finally brought\u00a0Joel the order it\u00a0was incorrect.\u00a0Their waitress returned the\u00a0food to the kitchen, and it was another long delay.\u00a0 Finally,\u00a0Joel got tired of\u00a0waiting and he began eating off of Victoria’s plate.\u00a0It was the\u00a0worse service they ever had in this restaurant.<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nWhen it came time to pay the bill\u00a0and leave a tip, Joel said he thought, “God now You just saw what happened”.\u00a0 He thought and I know you are a just God…Surely You don’t\u00a0expect me to leave a good tip.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0Almost immediately,\u00a0he knew he <\/span>was wrong.\u00a0He thought “Okay, God how about 5\u00a0%.\u00a0 He learned you don’t negotiate with\u00a0God, because You will lose.\u00a0 He thought once again “Okay God how\u00a0about\u00a0<\/span>10 % or 15 %?\u00a0\u00a0That’s\u00a0the going Tip .\u00a0But he still did not have a peace about that.\u00a0 He knew God was saying “Don’t miss this opportunity to do good. Don’t miss this opportunity to show my mercy”.\u00a0 God he thought wants us to be good to people even when they’re not so good to\u00a0us.<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nJoel eventually changed his attitude and thought, “I’m just not going to give this girl\u00a0 a tip,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 I’m going to sow a seed in her\u00a0life. I’m going to go the extra mile and be good to her…. they\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 left a twenty-dollar tip for a thirty dollar meal.\u00a0 But they did it as sowing a\u00a0seed.<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nA few weeks later, he received a letter from that young lady.\u00a0They \u00a0had no idea that she\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 had recognized\u00a0them. She had given no indication that she knew Joel and Victoria. The letter began by asking, “Do you remember me?\u00a0I’m the girl that waited on you that was probably your worse restaurant experience ever?”\u00a0Joel smiled and thought he knew exactly who she\u00a0was. She went on to tell how she had been raised in a good Christian\u00a0<\/span>family.\u00a0They went to church every Sunday, but in her late teens, her\u00a0family was hurt by a leader in their congregation.\u00a0 Somebody did them\u00a0wrong.\u00a0 Consequently, the entire family had given up on God and\u00a0dropped out of church.\u00a0 Over the last year or two, however, they had been watching \u00a0Pastor Joel on television.\u00a0The waitress related\u00a0in her letter, “I told my parents I know those people are real. Something on the inside tells me they’re sincere and we need to get back\u00a0to church”.\u00a0 She continued, “Joel when you and your wife came in the\u00a0restaurant, and we got your order all mixed up, most people would have really gotten aggravated and upset, but you two were so nice and kind.\u00a0 On top of that, you left that big tip.”\u00a0 She said, “That confirmed what I already knew in my heart.\u00a0 I went home and told my\u00a0parents what happed, and now we’ve gotten our lives back on tract, and\u00a0we’re worshiping the Lord at Lakewood Church every Sunday morning.”<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nIf you want to feel good….start planting SEEDS OF GREATNESS<\/span>\u00a0!<\/span><\/address>\n\u00a0<\/address>\nDon’t wait till tomorrow , it\u00a0could be too late….<\/span><\/address>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\nPlease come back and visit my Inspirational Station messages here\u2026.. <\/span><\/strong><\/h3>\n
