Liz

TRIVIA ANSWER: Originally, Neil Diamond’s hit Cherry, Cherry has no drum track because they record it as a demo with no intentions as a single release. In later sessions producers add drums and horns but not one of those tracks sounds as good as the original demo tape. In 1966, Cherry, Cherry becomes Neil Diamond’s first big hit when it peaks at #6. In 1969, Neil Diamond scores his first Platinum recording with Sweet Caroline at #4. Neil’s next single Holy Holy also goes Platinum. Diamond’s first #1 hit is Cracklin’ Rosie also a Platinum disc. In 1972, Song Sung Blue grand slams #1 with Platinum sales. But his biggest recording is his duo with Barbara Streisand on You Don’t Bring Me Flowers that hangs on to #1 for 2 weeks with Platinum sales.

CHARLES GEORGE [ex KCHU FM] (Dallas, TX) Hi, I tend to be like a monkey, if I see some one else try something that I want to do… I don’t always succeed but at least I have fun trying.
