JOHN FOGERTY\u2019S<\/strong> much-anticipated album WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE<\/strong> will be released May 28th<\/sup><\/strong> on Vanguard<\/strong> Records<\/strong>, his first for the label. Beginning today (February 4<\/strong>), the album is available for pre-order in both the iTunes <\/strong>and Amazon <\/strong>stores (see the album cover above and the tracklisting below). One of the album\u2019s highlights–FOGERTY<\/strong>\u2019s immortal swamp rock smash hit \u201cBorn On The Bayou\u201d <\/strong>which the legendary rocker has recorded with Kid Rock<\/strong>\u2014<\/strong>was used by NFL Network in their coverage of Super Bowl XLVII fittingly played in New Orleans<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I was hoping they\u2019d have some different twist so it would be fresh, so I\u2019d have to work, too. I wanted it to be something new.\u201d<\/p>\n

WROTE A SONG FOR EVERYONE<\/strong> marks FOGERTY<\/strong>‘s ninth studio solo album since disbanding Creedence Clearwater Revival.<\/strong> Mixed by Bob Clearmountain<\/strong>, it was recorded in Los Angeles<\/strong> and Nashville<\/strong> except for “Proud Mary<\/strong>“ <\/strong>which was recorded in New Orleans<\/strong> with AllenToussaint <\/strong>and the Rebirth Brass Band. <\/strong>FOGERTY <\/strong>recorded \u201cFortunate Son\u201d<\/strong> with Foo Fighters<\/strong> at their 606 studio using “the” legendary Neve recording console featured in the #1 iTunes documentary Sound City<\/strong>. FOGERTY <\/strong>has performed with the Sound City Players<\/strong>, the all-star band assembled by Dave Grohl<\/strong> to play the music created for the film and other classics, at recent shows at both the Sundance Film Festival<\/strong> and the Hollywood Palladium<\/strong> in Los Angeles<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

JOHN FOGERTY<\/strong> will tour in 2013<\/strong> and look for him to be at this year\u2019s SXSW<\/strong> in Austin <\/strong>(dates\/events TBA).<\/p>\n

About John Fogerty<\/strong>: <\/strong><\/p>\n

John Fogerty–singer, songwriter and guitarist–has sold over 100 million records, earning 18 Gold Albums and 10 Platinum Albums. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, won the Grammy Award for his album Blue Moon Swamp <\/em>in 1997 <\/em>and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2005. He is also a BMI Icon Award Winner. In addition, Fogerty and his #1 phenomenal recording \u201cCenterfield\u201d were honored during the 2010 National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremonies–the first time the National Baseball Hall of Fame has immortalized a musician or song as part of the annual ceremonies.
