Kelsea Ballerini Signs with Sony/ATV

Kelsea Ballerini has signed with Sony/ATV Publishing to create a one-of-a-kind pairing that’s bound to create even more history in the songstress’ career. Kelsea was the first female country artist to have her first three singles reach No.1.

CEO of Sony/ATV Troy Tomlinson was one of the biggest influences in Kelsea moving to Nashville and starting her career.

“It feels like a full circle joining the Sony/ATV family, and I’m so excited to continue to grow as a songwriter under their incredible team,” said Kelsea.

The chart-topping singer/songwriter is currently planning her newest project, with more details to follow soon.

JACK PARNELL [ex PD/DJ WHBQ-560] (Memphis, TN) Afternoon Jim: Shirley and I had 2 Siamese cats, not at the same time, but our last one was with us for 19 years, and his kidneys failed, so we had to quit fighting a losing battle and have him put to sleep. That was when both our kids were still here. I’m allergic to cats anyway, so I told Shirley that I didn’t think I could tolerate another cat. Well, 4 years ago, we found a 3 week old solid black kitten in our attic, but no mama cat. You guessed it…we had to keep him…his name is Bo…short for Mr. Bojangles…we thought at first that he was ferule, but he’s fine now…stays up here in the studio when I’m working. He loves to nap on the sofa…ALL DAY! Like you said we don’t know what we’d do if he leaves us. JP

Little did I know that two years and two stations later, I would be playing Country at KCUL (KBUY). Very sad to see the greats like Moon move on. What a career and what a role model! He was definitely one of the GREAT ones. So sorry to see him leave us. My thoughts, condolences and prayers to the family. R.I.P. Moon Mullins! I’ll never forget you!
