MCG: Do We Tell Stories You Want To Read?
It appears that at least for the time being my articles are Still Unique
The Music City Ghost [File #96] 2015: A very successful music business man told me the other day, “Just because you write a few articles about Nashville and put some goofy sounding music in the background, that doesn’t mean they are worthy of publication.” He was referring mostly to publication in daily newspapers. I had been inquiring for quite some time about getting my stories published in daily newspapers from all over the United States and Canada. He also pointed out that stories “Just Like” mine can be found all over the Internet and what made me think mine were unique enough for someone to decide to publish. With that being said I set out to find one just one not several but one story about there being no public restrooms on Lower Broadway in Nashville for the tourists. That was an article I wrote a few weeks ago. I spent several hours researching and with my level of expertise and education I could not find a single story dealing with this topic. I then decided I would research and try to find a story about covering Lower Broadway with a huge arch style dome much like the Fremont District in Las Vegas. That is an article I also wrote. Again no where could I find such a story. It appears that at least for the time being my articles are UNIQUE and whether they ever get published in daily newspapers and magazines or not, I will continue to write the articles that no one wants.
