Rhonnie Scheuerman’s Inspiration Station For All In Need This Morning

Lord Jesus, in rising from the dead You turned death into life and loss into gain for us and for all creation. How can we thank You ?
A splashy field of bluebells at my grandfather’s farm woven through the Easters of my childhood. This half acre of carpet of color waved at us as we rounded the bend of a dirt lane on the farm. No matter how much we picked—my cousins, siblings and I—we made hardly a dent in their abundance . Back at the house Grandmother’s Easter dinner table was filled with spring flowers newly gathered.
Then one year they were gone; plowed under for potatoes, we were told. It was the way of the farm, but I was devastated . The years have passed. and every spring my memory still floods with the sight of that waving field. In the scheme of things a small loss, but holding a huge hope.
In that field I see all the losses of this life, from loved ones to be loved, pets to even a spread of bluebells, and I hear God whisper that someday when I round the bend of eternity, I will find them restored. All that is good and beautiful and true will come back to us a hundredfold in that wondrous place where “God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes” (Revelation 21’4)
