Smuggling Your CD to a Major Artists Will not help You At MusicFest
We all know the expense involved in taking a trip to DISNEYWORLD. Mom, Dad and 2 children vacationing in Florida and visiting the parks that the Disney Corporation owns, can run into the thousands of dollars when all the receipts are added up. Every day the Disney gates are flooded with people from around the world so I guess there is no problem attracting new and returning visitors.
The same seems to be true about the CMA Music Fest held once a year in Nashville, Tennessee. This year over 90,000 people braved the intense heat for a chance to see and possibly get a picture taken with their favorite Country Music Star. Not much different than getting your picture made with Mickey Mouse or Goofy. The travel expense, hotel rooms, food, all added together does not seem to bother the fans who attend this event. Tickets for the CMA Music Fest for 2016 went on sale June 15th, the day after the final day of this year’s extravaganza. Somehow the struggling singer, songwriter, musician, feels like if they attend this spectacle and hand their CD to a star, that they will be helped along their journey in the Music Business by these celebrities. I personally have never heard of an artist getting a recording contract as a result of attending CMA Music Fest. This information will not change the attendance for next year’s show and a lot of the people attending will wish that I would keep my thoughts to myself.
The truth of the matter is I can’t keep my beliefs to myself because I will explode if I don’t tell someone how I feel. Whether you choose to believe me or not is your choice.
