MCG: Are You An Indie Artist Or A Con Artist?
It Is Hard Enough to Succeed But Even Harder Once You Are Branded a CON Person
The Music City Ghost [File #01] 2016: As an Indie Artist you already know the burden of production, distribution, and promotions relies on your own financial resources. None of these things comes cheap and when you find someone willing to work with you in these areas, you better treat them like gold. There are many Artists out there in their quest for STARDOM that accept the generous services of those that will help them achieve some of the goals and then turn around and never pay them for the services they provided with a generous heart. These Artists take advantage of these promoters and Music Business companies to get what they want and once they exhaust the services of a company they simply move on to the next one leaving behind a stack of un-paid invoices. As you might suspect however it doesn’t take very long for the word to get around that you are a dead beat. Pretty soon your name becomes poison in the industry and no one will take a chance on working with you. If you find someone willing to help you with all your dreams in the Music Business, then pay them for their services. It is hard enough to succeed in this very competitive business with lots of help but even harder once you are branded a CON person.
