Another Week Has Shot Through Like An Unbroken Colt Out The Gate

Well Here We Are Again So I Thought I’d Tell You About How Part Of My Week Went

WynIconMost was the normal mundain stuff but on thursday I had to go to the Dr’s to get a repeat on a prescription, now you all know what Dr’s waiting rooms are like everyone sits around looking at the other fella and thinking I wonder why they are here, and in the back ground is a radio playing a big boy station. There were a couple of kids and I mean kids trying to be DJ’s, they were playing off one another with stupid banter, and what a load of drivel coming from their mouths, worst part I couldnt turn it off.

Now to my point most Country Radio Stations only have the one DJ on at a time, He or She has to do the lot, in my case even make my own coffee. Now this to me is a darn sight better than a lot of jabber jabber between a couple of gigglers. You know being on Radio is a privlidge in my mind and we should always do our best to entertain our listeners. Any way I got my prescription and was told to get blood tests done, gurrrrrrrr I dont like that bit. Now have to wait a few days for the results.

Well take care .. Catch up next week .. and may all you days be sunny .. Wyn

Today’s Inspiration Station With Rhonnie Scheuerman

Rhonnie Scheuerman’s Inspiration Station For All In Need This Morning

He Is the Rock

“Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?

As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like.

They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, for it was well built. But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house it collapsed and its destruction was complete Luke 6:46/9

Think back to the nights when we were curled up in our blankets, sleepy, but not too tired for bed yet, and we begged someone to read us a bedtime story. Does this passage remind you of one story in particular? For me, it reminds me of The Three Little Pigs. The story goes something like this: A big bad wolf came after three pigs who were also brothers. The first brother built his house out of straw. But when the big bad wolf came, he huffed, and puffed, and he blew the pig’s house down. So the pig went running to the second brother’s house, which was made out of sticks. Again, the big bad wolf huffed, and he puffed, and he blew the pig’s house down. Both the pigs ran to the third brother’s house, which was made of bricks. This time because of the strong, well built house, the wolf was not able to blow it down. So the moral here, is probably not: if your house gets blown down by a wolf, you better be a fast runner. The moral of this story seems to point to the third brother’s wisdom in building a strong house that can stand against danger.

Deuteronomy 32:4 says, “He is the rock. His works are perfect, and all His ways are just. A faithful God who does no wrong. Upright, and just is He.”  He is our father, our creator, and the eagle who spreads His wings to catch us when we fall. Who better than God to place our foundation on? God is with us, and He defends us against our enemies. It is important to read scripture, learn God’s word, and live out a life of obedience to God. That is how we develop a strong faith life. We need to have a strong faith life and build our house out of bricks, rather than sticks and straw because we are constantly running into our not so good friend, the Big Bad Wolf. But thankfully we have Christ to run to, and His rock to seek refuge under.

Prayer Wonderful Creator,

You are our rock, refuge, and strength.

Help us to put Your words into practice, and live life obedient to You.

Thank You for Your protection against all danger. Amen
