Making a Murderer’s Steven Avery says
Manitowoc County cops KNOW who killed Teresa Hallbach
Making A Murderer ‘s Steven Avery has claimed the Manitowoc County Sherff department knows the identity of Teresa Hallbach’s murderer, but is covering it up in an effort to frame him for the crime. Currently incarcerated for her 2005 murder, the 53-year-old has once again protested his innocence in a hand-written note given to his defence lawyer Kathryn Zellner and claimed he has been framed by the authorities who he has had a long running feud with.
Since then Zellner has joined the fight to prove Avery’s innocence and this week posted a picture of the note from Steven to her Twitter account. Making the explosive allegations, he wrote:
“I want everyone to know that no one in my family including me was involved in the murder of Theresa Hallbach. It is obvious who killed Theresa but the Manitowoc Cops chose not to investigate him so they could frame me. Just like the first time.” Steven Avery
Steven was previously jailed for 18 years for the 1985 rape of Penny Beernsten but was exonerated after DNA evidence proved it was not him. It was later revealed the real rapist was Gregory Allen and that there was evidence the Manitowoc County Sherff department were aware he could be the perpetrator during the initial investigation, but instead were determined to convict Avery of the crime.
His trial and conviction for the murder was documented in the hugely successful Netflix series Making A Murderer, released in December.
