Blake&Gwen001Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Hand-in-Hand at Oscar After Party

Blake Shelton went Hollywood at last night’s Vanity Fair Academy Award After Party when he accompanied a stunning Gwen Stefani down the red carpet. Blake stayed true to his country roots sporting a dark pair of jeans, cowboy boots and jacket while Gwen sizzled in a peek-a-boo red floral number that left little to the imagination.

JAY WALKER [Ex WLS-890, KTSA-550, Jay Walker Prod, 40 Plus Years In Radio] (Dallas-Ft. Worth-Hurst, TX) Jim As you know, radio is all about networking. To make the trip from small, to medium, to major market as a jock took a lot of effort and luck. One of my ‘A List’ contacts with my weekly aircheck mail-out was Ric Lippincott back when he was at KYUU in San Francisco. I’d send out a weekly update and wait for rejection letters. Over the space of a year or so Ric went from the basic form rejection to hand written comments in the margin offering words of encouragement. The purpose of the weekly mailer was to create ‘buzz’ so that my name would be mentioned whenever a PD would ask another ‘heard any good jocks lately’. In my case it worked and got me on at WLS. I’m sad to report Ric passed away of cancer early this week. Best wishes as always… Jay

Rhonnie Scheuerman’s Inspiration Station For All In Need This MorningJesus005

I may pray daily and night for healing but without believing in the One to whom I am praying my words  are in vein

“According   to your faith be it unto you is  a great promise .  It is also a condition for healing.  Sometimes I forget this, Father.  I toss out prayer after prayer, just in case : in case You are listening, in case nothing else works, in case You can actually do this.  On an ordinary day, I do believe You are able to heal me, but sickness frightens me, and I start qualifying every  prayer  .  Forgive  my wavering, I pray.

Strengthen my faith and make me whole once more.

Martina McBride Releases “Reckless” New Single

martinamcbride02Martina McBride Releases “Reckless” New Single

martinaRecklessMartina McBride has released a brand-new single titled “Reckless,” her first since 2012’s “Marry Me”—a duet with Train’s Pat Monahanoff her 2011 album Eleven. Written by Zach Crowell, Heather Morgan and Sarah Buxton, the power anthem puts Martina’s soaring vocals and gratitude on full display, telling a story about being saved by love.

“It’s such a special song to me,”Martina says on her Facebook page. “My hope is that you hear it and think of someone who has taken a chance on you and reached out to love you through a hard or dark time.

Someone who pulled you from the edge as the song says. Sometimes life finds us in a vulnerable place. Thank God for the ones who love us recklessly and unconditionally.” The single is part of Martina’s upcoming album, which has yet to be announced but is expected sometime in 2016.

Johnny Cash’s First Performance of Man in Black

Johnny Cash proved a spokesman for all generations when he performed a special concert strictly for college students on Feb. 17, 1971, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. Johnny filmed portions of the concert for a special segment of his ABC television series, The Johnny Cash Show.

At one point, Johnny introduced a new song that he noted was inspired by a recent visit to Vanderbilt University in Nashville.

“I talked with several of you. We asked each other a lot of questions,” Johnny said. “An idea for a song started brewing then.” Johnny proceeded to play the new tune, which he was performing for the first time. The song was “Man in Black,” a philosophical essay from Johnny that laid out his personal beliefs.

I wear the black for the poor and the beaten down, Johnny sang as the audience hung on every word. When the song lamented Each week we lose a hundred fine young men, a reference to the controversial Vietnam War, the line drew cheers and extended applause.

Johnny later released “Man in Black” as a single, and it became one of his signature songs as well as an enduring nickname.

But Be Ye Do Ears Of The Word, And Not Hearers Only …..

Who Looketh Into The Perfect Law Of Liberty And Contineuth Threrin, He Being Not A Forgetful Hearer, Be A Doer Of The Work, This Man Shall Be Blessed In  His Deed…..James 1:22, 25

Guidance is only useful when we listen to it and take action  based on it..  It’s a foolish traveler who asks for directions and drives off in the wrong direction.  Why bother to ask if you don’t listen?    Or why listen if you have no intention of obeying?  Your word is my guidebook, Lord, and I thank You for it, but sometimes I forget to act on what You teach me.  Why read about sisterhood and then go out and slander my sister?  Why study forgiveness if I  intend to hang on to my grudges?

Show me my errors and teach me the proper way to take advice.

Mugabe Guests To Eat 54 Cows 5 Tons of Game Meat

mugabe001Mugabe Party Guests To Eat 54 Cows 5 Tons Game Meat

Harare – Delegates will eat 54 cows and up to five tons of game meat at President Robert Mugabe’s 92nd birthday party on Saturday, the official Herald newspaper reported.

mugabeUp to 50 000 supporters of the long-time Zimbabwe president are expected at the party in the southern city of Masvingo, where drought has wrecked crops in surrounding areas.

Zanu-PF provincial political commissar Jappy Jaboon told the Herald on Saturday that the cows and the game meat had been “donated”. He did not say by whom.

A donation of elephant meat in 2015 to Mugabe’s 91st party in Victoria Falls sparked controversy after it emerged that the businessman who handed over the elephants did not have any right to them.

article-2108991-11E89542000005DC-308_634x511Mugabe’s own donation of 300 cattle to the African Union has been received with mixed feelings back home where up to three million Zimbabweans face hunger. The state ZBC broadcaster says the cows were handed over to the AU Commission on Friday.

There is as yet no suggestion that the 54 cattle for the birthday party came from the first family, who own a large dairy in the Mazowe district, north of Harare.

6271682-3x2-340x227The party is being held near the Great Zimbabwe monument, a ruined city near Lake Mutirikwi that is recognised by Unesco as a World Heritage Site.

The state-run Chronicle quoted National Museums and Monuments provincial director Lovemore Mandima saying VIPs would be allowed to tour the monument – though not all at the same time.

Media group @263chat tweeted a photo of one of Mugabe’s birthday cakes: A giant replica of the monument with the stonework painstakingly reproduced.

Hundreds of crates of soft drinks and beers have been brought in for party-goers and wifi has been installed, said the Chronicle. Millions of Zimbabweans are starving in the Birthday party country.

Steven Avery: Cops Know who killed Teresa Hallbach

StevenAvery001Making a Murderer’s Steven Avery says

Manitowoc County cops KNOW who killed Teresa Hallbach

Making A Murderer ‘s Steven Avery has claimed the Manitowoc County Sherff department knows the identity of Teresa Hallbach’s murderer, but is covering it up in an effort to frame him for the crime. Currently incarcerated for her 2005 murder, the 53-year-old has once again protested his innocence in a hand-written note given to his defence lawyer Kathryn Zellner and claimed he has been framed by the authorities who he has had a long running feud with.

ra,unisex_tshirt,x3104,fafafa-ca443f4786,front-c,650,630,900,975-bg,f8f8f8Since then Zellner has joined the fight to prove Avery’s innocence and this week posted a picture of the note from Steven to her Twitter account. Making the explosive allegations, he wrote:

“I want everyone to know that no one in my family including me was involved in the murder of Theresa Hallbach. It is obvious who killed Theresa but the Manitowoc Cops chose not to investigate him so they could frame me. Just like the first time.” Steven Avery

Steven was previously jailed for 18 years for the 1985 rape of Penny Beernsten but was exonerated after DNA evidence proved it was not him. It was later revealed the real rapist was Gregory Allen and that there was evidence the Manitowoc County Sherff department were aware he could be the perpetrator during the initial investigation, but instead were determined to convict Avery of the crime.

His trial and conviction for the murder was documented in the hugely successful Netflix series Making A Murderer, released in December.
