The COUNTRY MUSIC ASSOCIATION (CMA) presented industry honors WEDNESDAY night (11/4) during pre-televised festivities leading up to the national broadcast of “THE 49TH ANNUAL CMA AWARDS.” WARNER BROS./W.A.R. artist JANA KRAMER presented both the WILLIE NELSON Lifetime Achievement Award and the JOE TALBOT Award before the sold-out audience at the BRIDGESTONE ARENA in NASHVILLE.
The WILLIE NELSON Lifetime Achievement Award is awarded to an iconic artist who has attained the highest degree of recognition in Country music and was established to recognize an artist who has achieved both national and international prominence and stature through concert performances, humanitarian efforts, philanthropy, record sales and public representation at the highest level. This year’s WILLIE NELSON Lifetime Achievement Award was presented to the late JOHNNY CASH, whose son JOHN CARTER CASH accepted on his behalf.
The JOE TALBOT Award is presented in recognition of outstanding leadership and contributions to the preservation and advancement of Country music’s values and tradition and may be presented to a person as determined by the CMA Board Of Directors to recognize an initiative or long-term contribution. This year’s JOE TALBOT Award was given to the late GEORGE JONES, whose widow NANCY JONES was in attendance to accept on his behalf.
“The CMA AWARDS is a night when we recognize our brightest stars, songwriters, producers, and directors,” said CMA CEO SARAH TRAHERN. “But it is also an occasion for us to honor some of our industry’s most revered icons, who have carried the torch and helped to advance Country music around the world.”

Keith has a long history in the music business and has played on the Opry and toured worldwide with the Queen of Country Music, “Kitty Wells” and her husband, “Johnny Wright”. “Yellow Roses”, is traditional country song and hopes the Disc jockeys worldwide would be so kind as to add it to their playlists when Discovery 11 land in the kingdoms.
Dave Caley Mentioning Dave Caley to country music fans you will hear them tell you this about the Independent Superstar and Hall Of Fame Member Dave Caley, He’s got a heart of gold, he’s pure country and he plays a mean country fiddle. They’ll also remind you that he doesn’t appear anywhere without his friendly attitude. Judging by the number of new fans Dave attracts every year, it’s no wonder Dave Caley has become one of the hottest stars on the country scene. Linda Knox was in her eighties when she died of malnutrition in her Chicago apartment. Apparently she’d lost her sight, and her mind had failed. Among her belongings they found the equivalent of $102,000 in uncashed checks, $113,000 in works of art, $240,000 in jewels, and $31,000 in antiques. In all, she had an estate worth $492,000—yet she died alone in poverty. And what’s worse, she’d drawn up a will leaving these things to friends and family members. But she never filed it with the courts and it was never executed, so her beneficiaries were unaware of their inheritance. There’s a lesson here for you. When Christ died and went back to heaven, He left a will. And you are named in it! You say, ‘Where can I find a copy?’ In His Word! You’re an ‘[heir] of God and a [co-heir] with Christ’ (Romans 8:17). Once that truth gets down into your soul, your attitude toward reading the Bible will be revolutionized. Instead of spending mindless hours watching TV or surfing the Internet, you’ll start meditating ‘day and night’ in the Scriptures. As a result, you’ll start to ‘prosper in all that you do’ (Joshua 1:8; Psalms 1:2-3). Now you can understand why the Psalmist said, ‘I will delight myself in Your commandments, which I love…The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver’ (Psalms 119:47, 72). Peter wrote: ‘His divine power has given us everything we need for life…He has given us His very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature’ (2 Peter 1:3-4). What more could you ask for?
thank You for giving me an inheritance, not deserved. In Jesus’ Name,
