“Nashville” Star Reveals Her Struggle with Depression

HaydenPanettiere003“Nashville” Star Hayden Panettiere Reveals Her Struggle with Postpartum Depression

During a visit to Kelly and Michael this week, “Nashville” star Hayden Panettiere admitted that she can relate to her character Juliette Barnes who’s suffering from postpartum depression.

Hayden-Leslie-Panettiere-Lips-Photo“I can very much relate. It’s something a lot of women experience. When they tell you about postpartum depression you think it’s, ‘I feel negative feelings towards my child, I want to injure my child, I want to hurt my child’ — I’ve never, ever had those feelings. Some women do. But you don’t realize how broad of a spectrum you can really experience that on. It’s something that needs to be talked about. Women need to know that they’re not alone, and that it does heal.”

“There’s a lot of misunderstanding — there’s a lot of people out there that think that it’s not real, that it’s not true, that it’s something that’s made up in their minds, that ‘Oh, it’s hormones.’ They kinda brush it off,” she points out. “It’s something that’s completely uncontrollable. It’s really painful and it’s really scary and women need a lot of support.”

Despite her struggles, Hayden says she hopes to have a big family, but they are taking it one baby at a time.

MCG: Critics And Media Can Be Really Mean at Times

MCG: Critics And Media Can Be Really Mean at Times

One reporter wrote that Ernest Tubb belted out his songs night after night singing flat and sharp

The Music City Ghost [File #52] 2015:  The critics and or media doesn’t always get it right.  One reporter wrote that Ernest Tubb belted out his  songs night after night singing flat and sharp and sometimes both at the same time.  Another writer said he didn’t think Ernest could sing 2 notes in a row on key.  None of that seemed to affect his sales.  Ernest Tubb sold millions of records to his army of fans worldwide.  A host of critics said Webb Pierce sang through his nose.  Well I guess that is better than saying he sang through his anus.  While on tour in Canada a critic wrote in his concert review that the Kitty Wells sound resembled that of a snake charmer and her steel guitar accompaniment reminded him of a funeral. This didn’t fittingly describe the QUEEN of Country Music in my opinion.   In more recent times the critics have declared that Taylor Swift can’t sing.  They all seem to be quite impressed with her song writing skills  but most agree her vocals are far from great.  If this is so than how do you explain that she remains in the top 3 most downloaded artists?    critic is a professional who communicates his or her opinions and assessments of various forms of creative work such as art, literature, music, cinema, theater, fashion, architecture and food. Critical judgments, whether derived from critical thinking or not, may be positive, negative, or balanced, weighing a combination of factors both for and against.  Did you notice the words his or her opinions?  Opinions everyone has them.

Rhon’s Early Morning Inspiration For Wednesday

RhonsInspirationDaily2014Rhonnie Scheuerman’s Early Morning Inspiration For All In Need Of Some

Jesus Today

Hold unswervingly to the hope you profess, for I am faithful. Sometimes-especially when many things are going wrong-all you can do is hold on to Me. You would love to sort things out in your mind and find a way to go forward, but often this is impossible. The best thing to do at such times is seek My Face and profess your hope.

To profess hope is to affirm it openly. Your words matter! They make a difference, not only to other people but also to you. They have a strong influence on your physical and emotional well-being. Negative words will pull you down. But when you openly affirm your hope and trust in Me, you gain strength to move forward with confidence.

The basis of this confidence is that I am faithful. Moreover, I will not let you be tempted beyond your ability to endure. Sometimes the way of escape I provide is through your own words, such as: I trust You, Jesus; my hope is in You. This sort of affirmation helps you hold on to your hope unswervingly-persistently.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. -Hebrews 10:23

Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice! Have mercy also upon me, and answer me. When You said, Seek My face, my heart said to You, Your face, Lord, I will seek. -Psalm 27:7-8

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. -1 Corinthians 10:13 esv

MCG Show Me A Contest Thats Not Fixed In Some way

MCG Pageants CrookedTuesday Show Me A Contest That is Not Fixed, Please Just One To Prove Me Wrong

Everything thats a competition is a popularity contest including running for President of The United States

The Music City Ghost [File #51] 2015:  You have heard me talk so many times about the discrepancies in the various charts used to show the popularity of recorded songs. Well today my observation concerns how crooked Beauty Pageants are.  My friend’s daughter who is 9 years old is a beautiful girl inside and out and has won at beauty pageants in various categories such as “Most photogenic,”  and “Most articulate.”  Last week her parents entered her into a beauty contest in a different county other than the one they reside in.  The young lady didn’t even come in third place let alone win.  Did she suddenly lose her photogenic appeal?  Did she suddenly lose her ability to communicate with the judges?  The answer is no she is the same little girl she has always been.  I can only speculate what happened since I was not there and speaking out without all the facts is a sign of an idiot.  Every town or city or county has their little beauty queen favorite.  She may be the grand daughter of one of the town officials or her parents may have done some favors for the judges or whatever but you get where I am going with this I hope.  When my friend’s daughter entered a contest without knowing anyone in the town and was suddenly placed up against the town’s favorite the end result was heart breaking. This same mentality applies to talent contests.  Are you going to tell me that you have not ever been to a talent contest and the winner ended up being one of the worse singers to compete?  We have all been there and we usually walk away saying it was “FIXED” and go on with life.  I can’t fix these situations but I enjoy bringing the awareness to the public.  Everything that is a competition is a popularity contest including running for the President of The United States.

DEVOTIONAL Release Yourself from Bitterness – Part 2

See to it that no one misses the grace of God

and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. Hebrews 12:15

Releasing yourself from bitterness calls for: 1) Choosing to forgive. ‘Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you’ (Ephesians 4:32). Whether or not the person who hurt you apologizes, is dead or alive, or is still hurting you, your only option is forgiveness. By forgiving, you set yourself free to enjoy life. 2) Releasing the wrongdoer from all expectations. By changing your expectations, you reclaim your peace of mind. Whether or not the other person changes is his or her business—move on! Requiring a certain response keeps you bound to them. Paul says, ‘Christ has set us free to live a free life…Never again let anyone put a harness of slavery on you’ (Galatians 5:1). 3) Transferring to God all expectations for your needs. His Word says, ‘God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 4:19). Note the word ‘all’. God can supply the people, resources and opportunities you need to live a joyful life. 4) Asking God to bless your offender. Yes, it’s difficult, but Jesus said, ‘Love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!’ (Matthew 5:44). That kind of prayer puts you in the driver’s seat of your life. 5) Doing something nice for your offender. Ask God how you can bless them. ‘If your enemies are hungry, feed them. If they are thirsty, give them something to drink. In doing this, you will…conquer evil by doing good’ (Romans 12:20-21). You defeat anger and bitterness by believing and acting on God’s Word.

Heavenly Father, I forgive and release myself to follow Your will and reflect You in all that I do. Thank You – in Jesus’ Name, Amen

JAY WALKER [CBS Radio Dallas/KJKK FM/Infinity KTSA-550/KTFM FM/Jay Walker Prod/40 Plus Years In Radio] (Dallas/McKinney, TX) Subject: Former KTVT. Morning Jim Charles George mentioned the old KTVT DFW studios on Central Expressway the other day. They’ve moved down the street to the “CBS Tower” at 75 and Fitzhugh where I worked with the radio cluster, KRLD, KRLD-FM, KLUV, KVIL, KMVK, and KJKK. CBS pretty well took over that property hence the official name “CBS Tower”. The primary studio facilities for KTVT and KTXA are located on Bridge Street off I-30, east of downtown Fort Worth. You and Suzie enjoy the cooler temps, soon enough we’ll be complaining about the winter HAHA Jay Walker

CLAUDE HALL [Former Billboard magazine Vox Jox columnist] (Las Vegas, NV) Subject: Vox Jox. Just a reminder that you can now read my commentary each Monday at I’ve teamed up with Rollye James Cornell and we’re both writing the column these days. Old memories as well as new ideas and ideals have a home here. For example, did you know that there was a secret apartment in the Billboard office at 146th West Street in New York City? This week, some members of the Association hangout at the Billboard rooftop garden! To subscribe: See you there! Claude Hall

TRIVIA ANSWER: On March 2, 1922, WNBC-660 signs on for the first time as WEAF owned by AT&T Western Electric. It is the first radio station in New York City. The call letters are believed to stand for Western Electric AT&T Fone or Water, Earth, Air and Fire. However, records suggest that the call letters are assigned from an alphabetical sequence. The first assigned calls are WDAM. But, they quickly drop those call letters, which come from the same alphabetical sequence.

CC MCCARTNEY [Voice Imaging-ex KRBE FM, WKY] (Nashville, TN) Subject: Howdy! Thanks pal, same to the two of you. Great reading material, I really enjoy your work!

MCG is Under Heavy Fire For His Country Crusade

MCG On Fire Under AttackMonday The Music City Ghost Is Taking A Lot Of Flak For his Cause

Only thing He asks is that you read the articles with an open mind and don’t just scoff at the topics.

The Music City Ghost [File #50] 2015:  For many years as far back as Hank Williams Senior, many Country Music Stars have recorded under a stage name rather than their real name given at birth.  For example Hank Williams was born Hiram King Williams and also recorded under the name Luke The Drifter the Hillbilly Shakespeare, The singing Kid.  Very few people know that Conway Twitty was born with the name Harold Lloyd Jenkins.  Probably the best kept secret is the real name of Tammy Wynette which is  Virginia Wynette Pugh.  Most of today’s Country Music stars are recording under their real name or some of the girls are using their maiden name rather than their married name.  A couple of names that I thought for sure were stage names turned out to actually be the stars birth name.  Webb Pierce and Faron Young are the names given at birth to those two gentlemen.  My name is The Music City Ghost.  It is not the name I was born with.  My parents were not ghosts no more than I am.  I am not available for personal appearances but I am not going anywhere either.  I am going to stay right here and continue doing what I am currently doing and that is writing articles about Nashville and the state that Country Music is in.  I have some fans / followers but mostly naysayers and critics.  It is OK with me.  The only thing I ask is that you read the articles with an open mind and don’t just scoff at the topics.
