The Christmas decorations may already be taken down but Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood are still in the festive spirit!
The husband and wife team is currently touring together and the super stars have decided to spend their spare time in the studio, recording holiday hits for release at the end of the year (2015).
The project will mark Garth and Trisha’s first full-length studio release together after a string of previous song collaborations, including In Another’s Eyes and The Call, and they are keen to do more.
During a press conference earlier this month in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Garth said,
“Right now, the album that we are starting is the Christmas duets. Its our first duet album ever, and it will be a Christmas one. And for me, thats a great way to stick your toe in the water. Were finally under the same label together.”

If you include this Christmas Duet on your Upcoming Christmas Duet Album with Trisha
you most certainly will change the songwriters life.

Over the last 100 years or so, humanity has made astounding technological advances at an overwhelming pace. These advances in science and technology may have made our lives easier and more exciting, but the trail of waste we have left (and still continue to leave) behind is simply horrendous. Pollutants of all kinds – chemical, nuclear, basic garbage, electronic waste – have seriously ruined our environment. Many locations have been so drastically impacted that living in them is a near impossibility. Chernobyl, Ukraine is a great example, the town witnessed the worst nuclear power plant accident in human history and since then has been an uninhabitable ghost town.
Although this list doesn’t feature any locations in the United States, they do exist. There are a number of sites that have been declared extremely toxic such as Love Canal, New York, Tar Creek, Oklahoma, and Gowanus Canal, New York. A recent case for alarm is a practice called Hydraulic Fracturing, or Fracking, which is a perfect example of modern day methods that have been linked to pollution of water and air. Mountaintop Removal is another controversial practice that is known to tarnish local water and wildlife.
Along with the ten places mentioned in the video, here are other toxic places in the world that deserve an (dis)honorable mention.
Linfen, China: Los Angeles smog would be considered a ‘good day’ compared to the air pollution in Linfen and it’s considered the “most polluted city in the world.” The reason behind the pollution is credited to industrial manufacturing and automobile pollution. The air here is apparently so bad that leaving your clothes out to air dry can turn them black!
The Great Pacific Garage Patch: Mainly consisting of plastic waste, an island over two times the size of Texas and over thirty feet deep floats in the Pacific Ocean.
Rondonia, Brazil: This is the most deforested region of the Amazon Rainforest. Trees in thousands upon thousands of acres of area have been slashed and burned down. The once green area has now been replaced with cattle.
Yamuna River: Although serious attempts have been made by the government to clean it up, the Yamuna River in India continues to be tarnished by waste. The city of New Dehli alone contributes about 3,296 MLD of sewage per day. An amount too much for the underfunded treatment facilities to handle.
La Oroya, Peru: The lead smelter in this town, run by a North American company Doe Run, is responsible for the huge amounts of lead that has polluted the city. About all children living in the neighborhood have been tested and there has been lead found in their bloodstream, at very unacceptable levels.
Lake Karachay, Russia: The amount of radiation from nuclear waste dumping is so strong that a person can get a lethal dose within an hour of being in the area. Cancer is a huge issue amongst the workers in the nuclear facility. There are many cases of childbirth defects and leukemia in the surrounding area. There is also a concern regarding the spread of radioactivity in distant areas air and river water.
Space: Man has also left a huge trail of pollution in space; over 4 million pounds of space debris and various vacant spacecraft currently orbit the earth. This has raised huge concerns for potential accidents that can cause satellites and communication to fail.

IS THE PARTY OVER FOR RADIO SHACK? Founded in 1921 Radio Shack begins as a mail-order retailer for amateur ham-radio operators and grows into a chain of over 5000 stores. Originally, Radio Shack offers electronic items that we cannot find anywhere else. But, a tug-of-war with a slew of electronic vendors crushes its customer base. In a bankruptcy pact, Radio Shack plans to shut down its almost-century-old retail chain, sell half its store leases to Sprint and shutter the rest. Somebody please rescue Radio Shack.

DAVE MICHAELS [WSAI-1360/KONO-860/KBUC FM] (Dayton-Huber Heights, OH) Subject: Super Bowl. Don’t care about it – don’t follow NFL at all. I like Ohio State football (College you know) I went to Miami U. of Ohio and some Quarters at SMU – BA degree – had I stayed in all the Programs – lost interest though…thought I knew more than some of my Professors. I don’t think Broadcasting can be taught by anyone – YOU have to go out and do it. Dave

And another storm approaches for later in the week. I had to go all over town today to find more snow/ice melt…and bought the last 6 bags I could find at any of the stores. It’s been brutally cold and icy/snowy…and a hard freeze (minus 7 wind chill) tonight. Tom

JOANIE GREEN-GALLO [Longtime Houston, TX DJ/traffic reporter] (Tulsa, OK) Oh, Jim… Thank you ~ you are so kind! Well, I didn’t know any of that before I moved here, and it just sort of comes with the territory, I guess. And hey…the day we stop learning… Philbrook truly is a beautiful place and it comes across as a quiet, beautiful place abounding in graciousness and class without being overbearing, unapproachable or ostentatious, even though, to many, it probably is…and to think someone lived there 85 years ago…wow.

Hanging on my office wall is a print that I’ve had for nearly 60 years. It shows the Lord Jesus standing behind a young man whose eyes are focused in the direction that the Master is pointing. Jesus’ hand is on the man’s shoulder, and I imagine He is saying, “This is the way we’re going. I will get you to the destination.” Although the road will be marked with both joy and suffering, the Lord leads His followers all the way to their eternal home.
Anyone who is honest will admit that he or she is ill-equipped to go through life alone. Our all-knowing God created us with a need for His guidance. In our own strength, knowledge, and reasoning power, we are simply not able to figure out how to make the wisest decisions. But the Lord’s assuring hand at our shoulder can lead us down right paths to good choices.
The Lord is willing and able to guide us, if we will let Him. It isn’t difficult to fall in step with Him. Acknowledge that you have wandered down paths of life that led to sin and disobedience. Choose to follow His lead instead by reading the Word of God and applying biblical principles to your life. And learn to pray through both large and small decisions as you seek the path He has set for you.
Just beyond our last heartbeat lies eternity. That’s where our Savior is pointing us. The path may not be clear to our eyes, but Jesus is leading us there with a steady and sure hand. Our part is to follow in obedience so that we may reach heaven and hear the Father say, “Well done.”
