Rapper Jack Parow thinks Afrikaans people are jeopardising the future of their own language by being overly protective of it. Parow, whose real name is Zander Tyler, spoke to talk show host Dominic Wilhelm of online show First Name Basis, who asked the questions: “What has Afrikaans culture become?” In response, Parow says he feels that conservative Afrikaans people are actually hindering the future of their language by protecting it too much, which stops it from evolving and keeping up with the modern world.
“I’m the devil for traditional Afrikaans people,” Parow said.
“Which is obviously completely untrue. I just make music that is fun and not boring and sh****y and c**p like most of the other Afrikaans artists.
“Sometimes you protect something so much that it almost dies. The problem is that they are trying to protect Afrikaans so much that they ostracize it from everything else. Bands like me and F*kofpolisiekar try to take Afrikaans into the future and make it cool.”
WHISNews21: Jack Parow is right the music and melodies he uses can certainly contribute to keeping Afrikaans music Cool, but the words and lyrics he uses most definitely makes Afrikaans common. I cannot help wondering if Parow kept his lyrics above the belt if he would not have been a bigger star than he is right now. To swear like a trooper does not make one Cool. What do you think ?

WHISNews21 Prayer Line and thoughts for yesterday, today and tomorrow by Marty Martel
Good Morning, Heavenly Father
Good Morning Heavenly Father, and thank You for the glory of the sun.
And thank You for the health I have to get my duty done.
I shall devote the hours of this golden day to You,
By honoring Your Holy Name in everything I do.
I shall pursue my daily art without complaint or fear
And spend my every effort to be friendly and sincere.
I know there have been many days that I have whiled away.
But this is one that I will try, to make Your special day.
And so once more, Good Morning Heavenly Father.
And please depend on me
Because I want to honor You for all eternity.
If you have anyone you would like to send a prayer out to please mail them to

Former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney said Sunday that Republicans can win the White House in 2016 by focusing on likely Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton’s time as secretary of state.
“The playbook, I believe, is to look at her record,” Romney, a former governor of Massachusetts who was defeated by President Barack Obama in 2012, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “I think you have to consider what’s happened around the world during the years that she was secretary of state, and you have to say it’s been a monumental bust.”
Earlier during the discussion on the show, Romney brought up Clinton unprompted when talking about the current crisis in Iraq. He said that the majority of the blame for the insurgency fell to the Iraqi leadership, but that the Obama administration had also failed to do what was needed to maintain stability.
“The United States of America has long had the capacity to shape events and to influence events, but what you’ve seen from this administration, whether from Hillary Clinton, with the reset button to Russia — which, by the way, I think should have been called the repeat button — I mean, this administration from Secretary Clinton to President Obama has repeatedly underestimated the threats that are faced by America and has repeatedly underestimated our adversaries,” he said. “Whether that’s Russia, or Assad, or ISIS, or al Qaeda itself, it has not taken the action necessary to prevent bad things from happening. It has not used our influence to do what’s necessary to protect our interests.”
Romney also criticized Clinton’s response to the release of U.S. soldier Bowe Bergdahl.
“I think her clueless comments about the Bergdahl exchange as well as her record as the secretary of state are really going to be the foundation of how a Republican candidate is able to take back the White House,” he said.
Romney said he will not make another bid for the presidency in 2016.
“I want to find the best candidate for us to take our message to the American people that we can bring better jobs, higher incomes, and more security globally,” Romney said. “We can do that, and I’m convinced that the field of Republican candidates that I’m seeing is a lot better positioned to do that than I am, so I’m not running.”
It is said that Mac Wiseman has the most identifiable voice in bluegrass ever. M Krause has this to say about Wiseman, “We saw him in Branson in 1992, a greater singer and kinder man never lived. He is truly the spirit of Bluegrass, I love him so much, the best performer ever. It is hard to see him get old but then we all do if we live that long. Bless you Mac and thanks for all the wonderful music, there will never be another to take your place.” Mac Wiseman has been around for a long time and he still sounds like he did thirty years ago. Here he performs ” I’ll Be All Smiles Tonight” as only Mac Wiseman can.
Country music’s Sammy Kerhaw is honoring his late friend and mentor George Jones with the release of a new album dedicated entirely to the “Possum.” Kershaw will release Do You Know Me? – A Tribute to George Jones on July 22, 2014. Throughout his career, the Country music industry and critics have consistently compared Kershaw’s vocal style to that of the legendary George Jones. Kershaw proudly embraces those similarities and holds his memories and personal friendship with Jones very close to his heart.
“When I was four or five years old, I can remember hearing George Jones sing and even though I hadn’t yet lived any of those heartbreaking songs, I could hear that natural tear in his voice and it would make me cry,” says Kershaw. “I felt every word in every story that he was singing. I can remember that when I was that little kid, I felt like I already knew him.”
A decade later, Kershaw’s boyhood dream would come true when he met Jones in-person. Kershaw recounts, “When I was 14 years old I had the honor of meeting Jones for the first time and was able to open several shows for him, which for me was the opportunity of a lifetime. Sometimes things in life are hard to explain but like I said, I always felt like I knew George Jones before I ever met him.”
Kershaw tackles some of Jones’ biggest career songs on the 14-track album. The tribute includes Kershaw’s renditions of “White Lightning,” “Who’s Gonna Fill Their Shoes,” “The Grand Tour,” “He Stopped Loving Her Today” and “The Race Is On,” among others. Two all new songs, inspired by Jones, are also included and Kershaw has tapped the “Possum’s” daughter Georgette Jones for the classic duet, “Near You.”
“When it comes to doing a George Jones and Tammy Wynette duet there was no way that I couldn’t ask Georgette Jones to do her mother’s part,” notes Kershaw. “I knew I wanted her on the album and when I asked her she said yes right away and that sure made me happy. I am so honored to have her on this project.” On Kershaw and the upcoming tribute album, Georgette Jones remarks, “Sammy has always been one of my favorites and he’s also the closest voice I know to my Dad’s. I’m so thrilled he’s done this tribute and it was a huge honor to record this duet with him. He had a special bond with my Dad and I know he’d be so proud.”
Kershaw adds, “George Jones was and still is the King of Country Soul music and there is no other and there never will be another. I had to do this tribute album to Jones because I believe that if it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t have ever discovered the talent that God gave me.”
Do You Know Me? – A Tribute To George Jones is produced by Kershaw and will be released through his label, Big Hit Records. The album will be available in stores as well as digitally through i-Tunes and Amazon.com. Digital pre-sales are available starting June 23, 2014.

Confess your sins to Me. Do not be afraid to face yourself honestly-in My Presence. In this brilliant Light you can see many things that miss the mark of My perfect standard. Though this is uncomfortable, do not try to run away or shift blame. Instead, agree with Me about these matters, and leave them with Me. Rejoice because I have already paid the penalty-taken the whole punishment-for all your sins. Joyfully receive the forgiveness I bought for you with My own blood.
When I forgive you, I also cleanse you from all unrighteousness. I even clothe you in My own perfect righteousness. As you walk in the Light with Me, there is a continual cleansing work going on within you. This purifying work of My blood helps you stay close to Me and to others who walk in My Light.
Blessed are those who walk in the Light of My Presence. They rejoice in My Name all day long, exulting in My righteousness.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. -1 John 1:9 nkjv
I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. -Isaiah 61:10
If we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin. -1 John 1:7
Blessed are those who have learned to acclaim you, who walk in the light of your presence, O Lord. They rejoice in your name all day long; they exult in your righteousness. -Psalm 89:15-16
