Ellie May Kay And Steve in Horrific Car Accident
Marty Martel: There was a terrible accident here in Nashville over the past 24-36 hours, in which Steve and Ellie May Kay were critically injured. They have had surgery, but please pray for them. They are special people in our music community and we love them dearly. I feel in my heart that the Master Surgeon will be overseeing the hands of their medical staff so that both Steve and Ellie May will have a complete recovery.
Twang Thang Facebook: Well we have put this post off for as long as possible….It makes us sad to post difficult and tragic news, but it is only right to share this info. As some of you already know, our sweet friend, Nashville recording artist Ellie May Kay & her husband Steve were in a horrific auto accident last night here in Nashville. Apparently, they were hit head on by another vehicle which resulted in a multi-car crash. Ellie & Steve are in VERY serious condition and have both already faced the operating room. Their injuries are extensive and they face a very long, painful & difficult recovery. We ask that you please send all your thoughts, prayers and love their way. We ask for God’s help in this time and all the love and support you all can share. We will keep you posted as best we can as things develop.
The Music City Bar Facebook: For all who have been asking. The latest on Steve & Ella May. Both underwent surgery. Ella Mays was successful and she is resting all though in pain. She is still yet to have surgery on her hip. Steve had some swelling so they are waiting to finish his surgery. Neither have any signs of paralysis. It will still be months of recovery after the surgeries to come and your prayers & thoughts are still needed and appreciated. We are working to organize a benefit for them that will be held on Halloween night at The Music City Bar. Details of the benefit will be released soon. We are also arranging an online account where all of you who cannot make it to the benefit can donate to them as we know that there are many of you around the country that would love to help them out. Thank you all for your support kind words & prayers.
