Kanye West Rips on Taylor Swift (Again) in Onstage Rant
It’s been a few years since the 2009 incident when Kanye West memorably interrupted Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at the MTV VMAs. Swift will probably never forget that awful moment, and apparently, West is determined to continue badgering the fan-favorite singer.
According to MTV, the father-to-be ripped on the ‘Mean’ singer while onstage during a headlining show in London. During his rant, he dug up his past comparison of Swift vs. Beyonce, saying, “Taylor Swift beat Beyoncé at the Grammys? Beyoncé be dancing in heels and s—.” Swift probably sees West’s name and automatically thinks, ‘I Knew You Were Trouble.’
She shouldn’t feel too targeted, as West was on a roll, blasting Justin Timberlake, the Grammys, corporations and just about any star who uses their status to sell drinks, mockingly asking, “Can I sell your drink for you please? So you can help me put on a better show.” He may have heard that Swift signed on with Diet Coke, and Timberlake struck up a deal with Bud Light Platinum as their creative director.
Obviously, the rapper is not supportive of business-minded artists, as he thinks they should be focusing on their work and not on the ways they can add more money to their already-bulging bank accounts. He backed that ideology up with a question: “Since when was making art about getting rich?” While he may have a point, there is certainly a better way to voice an opinion than ranting onstage at your own concert for twenty minutes; the fans reportedly got a little testy, too, as they paid to hear West perform — not complain.

Kanye says, “Since When Was Making Art About Getting Rich” well I suppose if he really means that he should perform everywhere for free and give away his cd’s for free. That way he is not making money out of his art dont you think ? Will he do that, NO!
Donkey, Buffalo Found In South African Meat
It Also Seems That It Is Not Just In SA it Could Be In Your Country Too. So, Have You Had a Donkey Burger Lately And Did Not Know It?
Cape Town – There’s a fair share of fraudulent meat products on the South African market, according to a new study by meat scientists from Stellenbosch University.
The study found that anything from soya, donkey, goat and water buffalo were to be found in up to 68% of the 139 minced meats, burger patties, deli meats, sausages and dried meats that were tested. In other cases, even undeclared plant matter was detected.
These ingredients were not declared on the products’packaging labels, the study found.
The findings follow in the wake of various international food produce scandals that have made headlines.
“Our study confirms that the mislabelling of processed meats is commonplace in South Africa and not only violates food labelling regulations, but also poses economic, religious, ethical and health impacts,”said Professor Louw Hoffman of the Department of Animal Sciences.
The products tested were collected from retail outlets and butcheries.
Of the 139 samples tested, 95 (68%) contained species which were not declared on the product labelling. The scapegoats in general were sausages, burger patties and deli meats.
Soya and gluten were found in 28% of the samples, without being identified specifically as plant material on the labels of the specific meat products.
A strong case of meat substitution was also reported. Pork (37%) and chicken (23%) were the most commonly detected animal species in products that were not supposed to contain them.
“Unconventional species such as donkey, goat and water buffalo were also discovered in a number of products,” said Hoffman.
The researchers used various DNA-based molecular techniques to evaluate the extent of meat product mislabelling.
“Our findings raise significant concern on the functioning of the meat supply chain in South Africa,” said Hoffman. “Even though we have local regulations that protect consumers from being sold falsely described or inferior foodstuffs, we need these measures to be appropriately enforced.”
“Clearly, our consumers cannot generally accepted that the meat products they buy are correctly labelled,” said Dr Donna-Maree Cawthorn, who believes that the entire local meat industry needs to take more responsibility in complying with relevant regulations.
“The meat industry’s failure to provide vital information on products may not only decrease consumer confidence in their organisations, but also in the meat industry as a whole.
She believes that targets must be set to improve meat labelling practices and to address the adequacy of authentication monitoring methods. “I do not believe that the current penalties issued for non-compliance are sufficient to deter fraudulent practices.”
The study was published in the international Food Control journal, and was done by Dr Donna-Maree Cawthorn and Professor Louw Hoffman of the Stellenbosch University Department of Animal Sciences, in conjunction with Harris Steinman of the Food & Allergy Consulting & Testing Services (F.A.C.T.S) in Milnerton.
Europe has in the past few weeks been rocked by a scandal
involving horsemeat falsely sold as beef. (AFP)

JUDY’S NOTES: SPOTLIGHTING FRIENDS WITH NOTE WORTHY NEWS!
♪ ♫ JUDY’S NOTES ♪ ♫
Today (Friday, Feb. 22nd) as I begin to write this newsletter, I’m still in a daze and feeling the glow of all that has happened this past week. A week ago, when I’d planned to start writing it… I was so happy I had updates for my friends as I didn’t have very much news myself. I was still feeling grateful that DJ Michael Stevenson had awarded me “Artist of the Year 2012″, and thought that if nothing else happened this year I’d be content. Bill likes to kid me when I tell him of such things…”Well, that should keep you happy for a day”! I’m always grateful when I get recognition as it’s from the Lord… and I’m grateful for a very long time. So pay Bill no mind on this matter!
To start, on Monday, Feb. 18th, I learned from #1 Music… that I was a featured Artist of the Week. I went to their site and was delighted to see my picture at the top of page as one of 6 featured artists. I noticed I was also pictured throughout the day at various sites there, such as Artist, Charts, Promotions, etc. When I went to my ownpage there I saw that I’m still #1 of the Top 5 Artists of my category, but also I had nearly 3 million plays there. So it seemed to me it would take a month or so to get that many plays; however I went there this afternoon & saw that I had reached the 3 million mark! I told Bill, ever the mathematician, who paused a moment then said “If you just were paid a dime for each of those plays, you’d have $300,000!” WOW! It’s a fan-based site and I now have thousands of fans worldwide there, but I don’t ever get paid. I guess I am meant to work overtime at my eBay store. The other good thing today was that I received the GCR (Great Country Radio) TOP 20 chart and I had 4 songs on it. Two were co-written with Rhonnie(KISSES andSHOP TILL I DROP); The3rd song, is a duet, co-written with Ray Lani (THE REST IS UP TO GOD) and the 4th one (THIS IS AMERICA, written byAllan Bradly Licht, won 1st Place in a Contest my company had in the 90’s. I recorded the song as part of the prize. Thanks to DJ Michael Stevenson, of Smithville, TN for this special chart!
Special thanks to Frans Maritz for posting my newsletter at his WHIS NEWS 21 site.He calls it “Judy’s Notes” and it is posted in segments over a number of days after I release it in this newsletter format. I’m very grateful to Frans for doing this. He is sooo hard-working and supportive of Indie artists, songwriters, promoters, etc. I worry so much him and his lovely wife Cathy, as they live in South Africa, where there are murders every day. The police don’t do anything and in fact, if one calls the police there, they can’t be sure the police would protect or harm them. When I pray for America each day, I pray also for S. Africa. It’s not far-fetched at all to consider that unless things change here & soon, we’ll have similar problems within the next decade.
Yes, I’m truly blessed and have so much to be thankful for as do so many of us.
We all need to be grateful and thank the good Lord each & every day.
See ya next time! Blessings ‘n hugs, Judy

Earth tremor just rocked the whole of the Johannesburg and surrounding areas
Radio 702 Reports that people are sending in SMS’s reporting they have just experienced an earth tremor from places like Bruma Lake, Bedfordview, Modderfontein, Alberton, Soweto, Bassonia, Orlando East, Edenvale, Eldorado Park, Houghton, Benoni, Kempton Park and Germiston. It seems that the tremor started in the East Rand and travelled all the way through to the West Rand. No reports of any real damage or loss of life has been reported yet.
What we know at this time: At 12:33am SA time, a tremor just shook the building I live in for about 10 seconds. We do not have tremors of this kind in Johannesburg South Africa. In my entire life I have never felt a tremor this strong. I felt that if the tremor carried on for much longer, my apartment on the second floor would have collapsed. It is very unusual to have this happen here. Nothing is broken and we are all fine, I am just mentioning this for reference as strange things are happening lately.
The following are from people who have called in to give their account of the Tremor:
“I felt the whole building shaking, felt like the roof was coming down never experienced this in my life”
“The Windows were shaking, it was very strong, did not know what to do”
“I noticed it was very quiet no wind and I never heard any dogs barking, and then the tremor came.”
“The entire house shook and thought the roof was coming down, it was a very a very dramatic situation, cups, glasses and windows were shaking. The dogs outside went crazy when I went outside.”
“I was on the 5th floor at work and I could feel the whole building shaking, I was alone and felt very scared. I was afraid that the building was going to come down. I packed up my work and went straight home.”
“It sounded like a thunderstorm coming it felt like a rolling-pin running under my house”
“Just enough to wake me up and rattle the doors and windows”
One thing that most people have said is that their animals did not make a sound during the tremor. Thank goodness that no loss of life has been reported and I assume the South African newspapers will carry the full story in the morning.
The Morning after the Earth Tremore very little informatiion is available below are some of the information that we could gather:
According to the Council for Geoscience’s website the last seismic event in Gauteng was on the far West Rand on Tuesday and measured 2.7 on the Richter scale. On June 14 a quake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale was felt along the West Rand and parts of Johannesburg. A tremor is the result of a sudden release of energy in the earth’s crust that creates seismic waves. The seismic activity of an area refers to the frequency, type and size of earthquakes experienced over a period of time.
The National Seismograph Network said: “There were earth tremors before in that area last year, also up to a magnitude 3. It’s normal.”He did not know what caused it. “It’s difficult to speculate.”
SAWDOS: It is not known at this stage whether this tremor was a mine related incident. The SAWDOS trust that the Council for Geoscience will release further info on the earth tremor. No reports of damage or injuries were received up to now.
Earthquake or tremor strikes Johannesburg
Posted by EVL : Johannesburg, South Africa – Parts of Johannesburg shook this morning when a minor tremor started shaking the ground just after 7pm. Residents felt the earth moving for a few seconds and some stressed that it might be shocks before a big earthquake comes.
On the earthquake monitors we could not spot any alerts so this might of been something other than a earthquake. Johannesburg has a record of big earthquakes but that is in the area of Roodepoort and Krugersdorp while this tremor or very small earthquake was more to the center of Johannesburg.
The last big earthquake to strike Johannesburg was in 1970 and that was 5.4 magnitude earthquake. There were others but the 5.4 was the biggest recorded one we could find.
There were earthquakes on the bellow five magnitude in central Johannesburg, the last big one was a 4.5magnitude on March the 16th 1966 or the one just outside in Bedfordview on March 27 1973 which was a 4.9 magnitude.
WHISNews21: The above is about all we could find no real answers and it looks like South Africa may not prepared for an Earthquake, after reading all that is available to us this morning
