Ray Price Spreads The Great News With Country

rayprice05

Hi Folks, We are so happy to tell you that I am back home. I bring good news that ALL TEST REPORTS SHOW THAT MY CANCER IS STILL IN REMISSION and I am improving daily.

Janie and I want to thank all of you for your love and support. It has been your prayers that have lifted me up and carried me through this entire treatment process. YOUR VOICES HAVE BEEN HEARD IN HIGH PLACES! My doctors and treatment team just shake their heads in amazement every time I leave there with good news.

So many of you have told me that you, a close family member or friends are also battling this awful disease that attacks our bodies with a force beyond our control. It is my greatest hope that a cure will one day soon be discovered that will wipe cancer off the face of the earth.

I am now entering a physical rehab program to improve my muscle tone and rebuild my strength. I hope to see you soon when I am ON THE ROAD AGAIN.

Thanks again and GOD BLESS!. Ray Price

The Stranger

.

A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our small town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family. The stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on. As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young mind, he had a special niche.

My parents were complementary instructors: Mom taught me good from evil, and Dad taught me to obey. But the stranger… he was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures, mysteries and comedies. If I wanted to know anything about politics, history or science, he always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future! He took my family to the first major league ball game. He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn’t seem to mind. Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet.

(I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave.)

Dad ruled our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger never felt obligated to honor them. Profanity, for example, was not allowed in our home – not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our long time visitor, however, got away with four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush. My Dad didn’t permit the liberal use of alcohol but the stranger encouraged us to try it on a regular basis. He made cigarettes look cool, cigars manly, and pipes distinguished. He talked freely (much too freely!) about sex. His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrassing… I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger. Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked… And was NEVER asked to leave.

More than fifty years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first. Still, if you could walk into my parents’ den today, you would still find him sitting over in his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures.

His name?

….We just called him ‘TV.’

(Note: This should be required reading for every household!)

He has a wife now….we call her ‘Computer.’

Their first child is “Cell Phone“.

Second child, ” I Pod

And JUST BORN THIS YEAR WAS a Grandchild: IPAD

OH MY—-HOW TRUE THIS IS!!!

 .

 THANKS SOOO VERY MUCH!!

Another great friend of our group at John A’s is Jimmy Holt. I ask you for prayers and prayer lines Jimmy. He is in the hospital with some health issues and could use our prayer support. Thank you.

The following is my Thought for Today. I believe after you read this incredible story, you will see why it is a story of respect and love of humans and animals, and the message is very important. I am going to keep this in my database. It is a touching story and unbelievable that these animals knew exactly where to go. Thanks to Lorraine Smart for sending this to me.

THE ELEPHANT’S JOURNEY TO PAY RESPECT, BUT HOW DID THEY KNOW?

lawrenceanthonyLawrence Anthony, a legend in South Africa and author of 3 books including the bestseller The Elephant Whisperer, bravely rescued wildlife and rehabilitated elephants all over the globe from human atrocities, including the courageous rescue of Baghdad Zoo animals during US invasion in 2003.

On March 7, 2012 Lawrence Anthony died.

He is remembered and missed by his wife, 2 sons, 2 grandsons and numerous elephants. Two days after his passing, the wild elephants showed up at his home led by two large matriarchs. Separate wild herds arrived in droves to say goodbye to their beloved man-friend.

A total of 31 elephants had patiently walked over 12 miles to get to his South African House.

elephantsWitnessing this spectacle, humans were obviously in awe not only because of the supreme intelligence and precise timing that these elephants sensed about Lawrence ‘s passing, but also because of the profound memory and emotion the beloved animals evoked in such an organized way: Walking slowly – for days – Making their way in a solemn one-by-one queue from their habitat to his house. So, how after Anthony’s death, did the reserve’s elephants — grazing miles away in distant parts of the park — know?

“A good man died suddenly,” says Rabbi Leila Gal Berner, Ph.D., “and from miles and miles away, two herds of elephants, sensing that they had lost a beloved human friend, moved in a solemn, almost ‘funereal’ procession to make a call on the bereaved family at the deceased man’s home.” “If there ever were a time, when we can truly sense the wondrous ‘interconnectedness of all beings,’ it is when we reflect on the elephants of Thula Thula. A man’s heart stops, and hundreds of elephants’ hearts are grieving. This man’s oh-so-abundantly loving heart offered healing to these elephants, and now, they came to pay loving homage to their friend.”

Lawrence’s wife, Francoise, was especially touched, knowing that the elephants had not been to his house prior to that day for well over 3 years! But yet they knew where they were going. The elephants obviously wanted to pay their deep respects, honoring their friend who’d saved their lives – so much respect that they stayed for 2 days 2 nights without eating anything.

Then one morning, they left, making their long journey back
