Independent Artists nominated for Awards

NMW is proud to be the first and only award show not weighted down with the politics and corruption of the corporate world, but an award show showing the true talent which exists in the music industry today. This year’s Nominee’s are among others some of the independent Superstars that are featured on Wildhorse Entertainment. David Wood promoted by James Allen Promotions is up for “Best Country Male Artist” and RhonBob Promotion’s Cheryl K Warner for “Best Country Female Artist” Tom Kawai from “Real Country” is also nominated for Best Internet Radio station

NMW’s motivation for providing the most updated and fairly tracked radio airplay information is owed to the philosophy of radio pioneer and legend Bill Gavin, who started Gavin magazine as a weekly tip-sheet for radio programmers in the 1950s. It wasn’t till the early 1990’s that Gavin’s philosophy was finally archived with the bureaucracy of major label politics. .thus the founding of New Music Weekly.

Recognized worldwide as “New Music’s Night,” the New Music Awards represent the pinnacle of achievement for ALL Music artists, musicians, radio programmers, music directors, radio stations, and industry executives who work in America’s most popular music genre.

“The New Music Awards” features a wide variety of exceptional talent and is sure to provide outstanding entertainment and excitement throughout the show.

At New Music Weekly you’ll find information about the New Music Awards voting process – a process involving professional music industry executives, artists, and radio personnel. You can also review the history of the New Music Awards, and peruse a comprehensive database of NMW Award winners listed by artist, category and year.

Patty Patrick: Blue Car Revolution in France

New Project by Paris’ Mayor Bertrand Delano.

At the end of September 2011 Delano started a pilot project in Paris, France with 66 cars, and now there are 250 Bluecars available at 250 stations in Paris and the suburbs. By the end of May 2012 it should be 3000 electric cars at 1200 stations.

Autolib is the new system similar to Velib (rent a bicycle) which had been started in Paris in 2007 successfully. To rent a car for a day, for one week or even for one year, a registration is necessary and a customer’s card (like credit card) is issued so that a car can be picked up at any time at any station. The stations look like a huge plastic egg and have a built-in recharge unit for electric cars which will keep the cars going for another 250 kilometres. Very good for the customer is also that a Bluecar can be picked up and returned at any of those stations, once the client is registered.
