Independent country artist J.C. Hyke has just released his new single, “The Tip Jar Song”, JC is proud to announce that he has some of the top Nashville musicians playing on this new single. JC wrote the song telling the story of a group of musicians trying to make a few extra dollars by getting a pretty girl to pass the tip jar around the local bar. JC hopes that it will cure the problem of having an empty tip jar which is very unrewarding after giving your all to the crowd for the night. JC also mentioned that “Musicians haven’t got a raise for the past 30 years, and this is a way to help them out” This new Hit song by JC is a really fun filled and happy song and you can almost hear yourself wanting to yell, “Yeehaw” out louder than anyone else in the Bar while dancing to this new hit song.
You can also find one of JC Hyke’s great hit songs “Do You Think There’s A Chance”
as a free promotional download on Wildhorse Entertainment
“Independent Superstar Quote Spot”
Brought to you by Barbara Rainey.
If you know who the person was that coined this quote use the comment section, please
1. Pull your pants up. You look like an idiot.
2. Turn your cap right, your head ain’t crooked.
3. Let’s get this straight: it’s called a ‘gravel road.’ I drive a pickup truck because I want to. No matter how slow you drive, you’re gonna get dust on your Lexus. Drive it or get out of the way.
4. They are cattle. That’s why they smell like cattle. They smell like money to us. Get over it. Don’t like it? I-10 & I-40 go east and west, I-17 & I-15 goes north and south. Pick one and go.
5. So you have a $60,000 car. We’re impressed. We have $250,000 Combines that are driven only 3 weeks a year.
6. Every person in the Wild West waves. It’s called being friendly. Try to understand the concept.
7. If that cell phone rings while a bunch of geese/pheasants/ducks/doves are comin’ in during a hunt, we WILL shoot it outta your hand. You better hope you don’t have it up to your ear at the time.
8. Yeah. We eat trout, salmon, deer and elk. You really want sushi and caviar? It’s available at the corner bait shop.
9. The ‘Opener’ refers to the first day of deer season. It’s a religious holiday held the closest Saturday to the first of November.
10. We open doors for women. That’s applied to all women, regardless of age.
11. No, there’s no ‘vegetarian special’ on the menu. Order steak, or you can order the Chef’s Salad and pick off the 2 pounds of ham and turkey.
12. When we fill out a table, there are three main dishes: meats, vegetables, and breads. We use three spices: salt, pepper, and ketchup! Oh, yeah … We don’t care what you folks in Cincinnati call that stuff you eat… IT AIN’T REAL CHILI!!
13. You bring ‘Coke’ into my house, it better be brown, wet and served over ice. You bring ‘Mary Jane’ into my house, she better be cute, know how to shoot, drive a truck, and have long hair.
14. College and High School Football is as important here as the Giants, the Yankees, the Mets, the Lakers and the Knicks, and a dang site more fun to watch.
15. Yeah, we have golf courses. But don’t hit the water hazards – it spooks the fish.
16. Turn down that blasted car stereo! That thumpity-thump ain’t music, anyway. We don’t want to hear it anymore than we want to see your boxers! Refer back to #1!

The COWBOY Solution to save Gasoline.
OBAMA wants us to cut the amount of gasoline we use…..The best way to stop using so much gasoline is to deport 15 million illegal immigrants! That would be 15 million less people using our gas.
The price of gas would come down…..
Bring our troops home from Afghanistan to guard the borders….When they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the Border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to Afghanistan….Tell him if he wants to come to AMERICA then he must serve a tour in OUR military….Give him a soldier’s pay while he’s there and tax him on it……After his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country…..He will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal resident…..This option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in Afghanistan and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves.
The Identity of the Cowboy who sent this in is withheld because of the ……………….

Nashville, Tennessee – (January 18, 2012) — Country Music Superstar Randy Travis is emphasizing the ‘new’ in the New Year unfolding. Under a just announced new management team, the career reins of the multi-platinum awarded Randy Travis, who ranks as one of country music’s top-selling artists of all time, are being guided by Ken Levitan, of Vector Management, and Jeff Davis, of SUM Management. Levitan is the high-profile management force behind some of the top names in the industry, as diverse as Hank Williams, Jr., Lynyrd Skynyrd, The Fray, Trace Adkins, Emmylou Harris, and Kings of Leon, to mention just a few. Levitan is creatively aligning with Davis, whose working association with Travis spans over 24 years, to form a major affiliate for development of Travis’ ongoing successful career interests. Levitan’s and Davis’ new direction for Travis will continue to be supported by CAA, where Marc Dennis acts as responsible agent for scheduling Travis’ bookings and live performances. Randy Travis moves into 2012 with renewed career momentum.
2011 marked the official beginning of Randy’s 25th year in the industry, with the Warner Bros. Records release of his “Anniversary Celebration” CD on June 7 that gives a panoramic view of what a quarter century of iconic success in country music looks like, and sounds like. 1986 ignited the-then 27 year old artist’s career and reached mass market heights, with the single release of his breakthrough smash, “On The Other Hand”. The single pinnacled to become the first of 18 #1 hits for Travis.“Storms of Life”, the debut album that followed, reached triple platinum, laying the foundation for the 20+ million lifetime sales of Travis’ incredible music career. In the midst of becoming a humble phenomena, Travis is credited with being the creative cornerstone of the ‘new traditionalist’ movement that emerged from his influence—a late 80’s, early 90’s wave that swept in a flood of new artists influenced by Travis such as Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley.
In addition to guest tracks from the aforementioned ‘new artists’ he influenced, the star-studded cast of collaborators, on “Anniversary Celebration”, included a virtual who’s who of Nashville’s current hit-makers and legends. In May 2011, Cracker Barrel Old Country Store released their own 11-track tribute to Travis, with a much-anticipated “Greatest Hits” package, which benefitted the national Wounded Warriors Project.
In the wings of 2012, there will be an immediate and aggressive emphasis placed on the visibility of Travis across multiple media formats. Announcements of several major new career initiatives will be forthcoming from Levitan and Davis.

The Rodeo Girls run by Lientjie Bayman, are a group of ladies of all ages, the youngest being only 12 years old, who travel across South Africa entertaining the public with their professional and fun Linedance routines.
The Rodeo Girls have been performing at shows and offering tuition for the past 14 years and though the faces in the group have changed from time to time, their performances have always been of the highest standard. You will always find the Rodeo Girls on stage with different costumes but that will always include the theme of Blue Jeans, Cowgirl Skirts with waistcoats, Cowboy Hats and Boots to match. At Wildhorse Entertainment we believe that the “Rodeo Girls’ are as Country as Country can be.
You can always count on the Rodeo Girls to get the party started, which they have done at Flea Markets, Casino’s, Corporate Functions, Birthday parties, Weddings, Charity functions, Fashion Shows and not to mention being the preferred Linedance backup dancers for if not all, then most of the cream of the South African Country music stars live shows and TV performances. The Rodeo Girls have also appeared on dozens of Music DVD’s by top artists. They have also amongst their long list of awards received them from places in the USA as New York, Florida and have had the privilege of dancing in Country Music’s Dream City, Nashville, Tennessee.
The Rodeo Girls have recently made headlines with their DVD recording of a Linedance for Independent Superstar “Allen Karl’s” huge international hit “Butterflies” This video was sent to Wildhorse Entertainment and to the production team of Allen Karl, James Allen Promotions and RhonBob Promotions. Comments passed by these people have been most rewarding thus far as James Allen and Allen Karl have said the DVD was simply amazing. It is not sure yet what will be the outcome of this DVD as it may form part of worldwide promotional champagne promoting Allen Karl’s 2012 European Tour. There are also rumors that Donna Jean Cunningham may accompany Allen Karl on this tour. But that will be another great story later this year
We at WHISNews21 wish the Rodeo Girls and Lientjie only the very best in their very bright future, and we are proud to know that they not only work with the major, local and International artists, but find the time to work with all Independent Artists worldwide too, who from time to time, may need a professional Linedance group backing up their performances.

WHISNews21 just wanted to let yall know that one of our Independent Superstars Lee Marcus was recently asked to contribute to an article on Engine 145 honoring the 88th Birthday of Mr. Earl Scruggs. Please take a moment and check it out. If you would like, you can leave a comment and share your favorite Scruggs tune as well. Here is the link: http://www.engine145.com/friday-five-earl-scruggs/
Here is the article as published on Engine 145:
Earl Scruggs turns 88 today, so to celebrate the five-string legend—who is also a mighty fine guitar player and singer—we reached out to a few of the myriad banjo players he’s has influenced over the past sixty-plus years and asked them to select their favorite Scruggs tune.
Give a listen to the songs below while you check out the Tennessean‘s Scruggs photo gallery, and tell us: what’s your personal favorite Earl Scruggs song? This morning, mine is “Ground Speed.”
This was Independent Superstar Lee’s choice below:
Lee Marcus: My personal favorite Earl Scruggs tune is “Reuben.” It is one of the simplest, yet most soulful banjo instrumentals written thus far. And no one can play it with more soul than Mr. Scruggs.
Lee Marcus will have his very first hit song “Carolina Dreams” available on Wildhorse Entertainment for free download on the 1st of February. We are extremely proud to feature an artist of Lee Marcus calibre a true professional instrumentalist.
